Bit of advice if you don’t already know , when catching pollock if you get a quick release and their fins are still sticking up , nose dive them into the water like a torpedo and they swim off straight away it gives them a massive kick of energy due to the water hitting their gills
Great vid and fish well done and what a lovely quiet place to fish I'm south Devon and would love a quiet tourist free bit of coast at this time of year lol
Nice video mate, and good work on the fish and great content. I started watching this at lunch and it was on 135 views, paused and finished it just now and its on 323 views. Nice, racking them views up fast! I have subscribed too 👍
I really appreciate it, RU-vid must be advertising the video a little bit which I was definitely not expecting for the first video! Thanks for the sub 👌
@@UntouchedFishing yeah it came up on my home page so they must be. You must have done something right with the algorithm…which I can’t figure out still 😂 none the less, great vid.
Yes. Anywhere on the Isle of Skye is where you really want to be. Niest points a classic and it would be a miracle to blank it. You’ve got a good chance all over though. Find some deep water and current lines and you’ll likely get on the fish
I only had it out for the amount of time I was filming. hook slipped straight out, quick show to the camera and that was it. out the water for 60s max. Really confused me as I didn't play it till exhaustion. Weird. I can see why you'd think that, id think the same if I saw it. had fish out the water for longer than that one before and they've swam off no problem
ahaha yeah they are definitely not the easiest locations to fish. risk vs reward I suppose. im based in Edinburgh but was fishing st ebbs for this video.
I had always thought that you can't however I was out on a charter a few months ago and they were keeping them. we kept a couple and fried them up at the house and they were actually not bad at all. not quite as good as co or pollock but not too dissimular
Appreciate that, pleased to hear you like them. I do a lot on the east coast of Scotland. St abbs Eyemouth are my go to places on the east. I live in Edinburgh so often fish the west coast too. Isle of Skye is my go to up there and it’s hard to not catch pollack at this time of year 😂if you want specific details fire away 👌
