On a quest for stronger, shinier, softer hair? Hello, Jason And The Argan Oil Shampoo Bar! Scented with our signature Rose Jam fragrance, this self-preserving bar will help you reach all of your #hairgoals. Brand and Product Trainer Sara and Compounder Pinch take us this shampoo bar’s journey from start to finish! First, Pinch blends Sicilian lemon, rose and geranium oils together to create its irresistible fragrance, and then adds argan oil with a bit of color into the mix. Nutritious agar agar powder and ultra-moisturizing glycerin are blended in and when everything is evenly incorporated, they’re ready to be molded. Each bar is pressed and then set aside where they wait to be packed up and sent out to our shops!

This is, by far, my number one favorite solid shampoo bar! It leaves my hair SO clean and free of build-up, without stripping my hair. And anything that shares the Rose Jam scent is a huge plus for me ^_^

You kidding? Even a Lush store is incredibly overpowering. The warehouse must smell awful. Sure, the products each smell great individually, but so much in one space must stink royally. Just like mama tells you not to wear half a bottle of perfume.

This stuff is amazing! Probably my favorite scent out of everything lush sells. Also my hair usually gets super oily but this has made it so much healthier, shinier, and cleaner!

Aww, so sad to see this has sls in it! I was just about to add it to my list to grab next time I'm at lush because it sounds like it would smell amazing! Unfortunately I dye my hair and can't use sulphate-containing shampoos or I'd have to re-tone my hair after every wash (platinum is a notoriously finicky hair colour). If you ever reformulate to a sulphate free version, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Holly Ruddick Heya! I actually use this shampoo and I have pink, pastel hair. I also avoid sls. But when I asked them about the sls, they informed me it was only used as a foaming agent and that she had never seen a hair color dull down because of it. And honestly I believe it. I've not had an issue with my hair color changing due to this shampoo. May be different for platinum but I have had a great experience with it. :)

It's also terrible for colored hair. Watch all your color run down the drain. Sulfate free shampoos don't foam up as much but they get the job done just fine.

Can I just give you guys at lush a personal thank you? Your shampoo bars have been a saving grace to me and my colour treated hair, my hair is dyed bright red which means it's super susceptible to fading out. I've tried colour protecting shampoos from high end to drug store and none has prolonged my colour as much as your Godiva/Copperhead/Jason and the Argan Oil bars. They're so gentle with my hair which is the best thing you could ask for when it comes to washing coloured hair. The ingredients are amazing and I can actually pronounce them and know that no heavy chemicals are going into my hair and messing with my colour. I haven't had to re-dye my hair in 7-8 months since it hasn't faded much at all. Thank you for saving my pillarbox hair, and making it smell hella good in the process.

This is the shampoo bar I use. I LOVE the smell of rose jam. I even have a massage bar that smells like rose jam. Oooooh, and Ro's Argan body conditioner, I tried it for the first time last night, it came in my Rosie gift set that my mom got me for my birthday.. which is tomorrow. ;)

SLS is used in our shampoo bars because it helps trap and remove oil-based dirt from the hair and scalp. Additionally, it's what makes our shampoo bars lather which gives an unbeatable feeling of cleanliness (we could use eggs or clay, but you probably wouldn't love the feeling of it so much)! :D Despite the scare stories, there’s actually no proven link between SLS and cancer: on this many medical and industry associations concur. The reality is that SLS has an excellent safety record, delivers great results and doesn’t bioaccumulate (persist in the environment). Lush's SLS comes from coconut and/or palm kernel oil, so while it is produced in a chemical process, it's derived from natural ingredients. Irritation from SLS is unlikely, even among people who have sensitive skin or suffer from eczema, provided that the shampoo is rinsed off thoroughly. In fact, the risk is so small that there are no EU limits on the usage of SLS in wash-off products, as irritation only occurs with products that are left on the skin. Not only that, but Jason And The Argan Oil shampoo bar is made with agar agar, which means it contains 23% less SLS. I hope this relieves some of your stress about SLS, John Charles! It's not good, but it's not too bad/dangerous. What I found is that it makes your hair dry and brittle as it can strip away lots of the natural oil, especially if too much of it is used. With Lush shampoo bar, they explained in their website that because it's in the form of bars, the amount of SLS use for every wash if relatively small compare to when you use a regular SLS liquid shampoo. So it's okay. Personally for me, SLS doesn't do well for my hair.

Also, because it can strip your hair of oils (since sulfates in general trap and remove oils), if you condition your hair, you'll be fine. The same is true for anything that lathers including hand soap and facial soaps (which is why there are hand creams and facial moisturizers). As long as you're replenishing the oils lost during the cleansing process by conditioning, moisturizing, etc. you should be fine.

Hey Lush ! I love love love shampoo bars mainly because they are naked and how amazing my hair smell and feels after ! But I have very very thick hair and tried the conditioner bar and I felt like I had to use a lot of product and I wish it I got as many uses out of it like the shampoo bar! Love you Lush ❤️

my favorite shampoo bar! my only complaint is that it is one of the stickiest by far, it takes longer to dry out than others and sticks to the tin more I always have to have the lid in the tin to prop it on its side. BUT it's still my fave and smells amaaazing

On just curious do the compounders use proper PPE when combining batches of powders. Every video you see powders flying up in the air and it doesn't matter if it's all natural and vegan, they're all inhalation irritants
