I could never get my payment info to go through on the day they released these products so I think I will wait until they come to the US. Interesting about the VAT. I heard the same thing and when I was attempting to order I got the same 0 on the VAT line and thought that was odd.

You did pay VAT. The reason why it shows on your invoice that you didn't pay VAT is because lush actually is not supposed to be charging VAT to non UK residents since we dont live there we should not be charged for their living expenses. Its like tax basically. Well anyways the reason why they print out our invoices that way is because they can actually get in trouble for charging non UK residents VAT so whenever someone complains about being charged VAT there is no solid proof

Maybe i can help you with the VAT issue :D The First part on your Inoice about VAT you posted only oblige to UK and EC Country Residents (like Germany, Austria...). For example Austria is part of the Europeen Union and if the you order from Lush UK they need to pay UK VAT but not the Austrian VAT. As you only need to pay VAT once and for the EC countries the rule is you pay the VAT of the country you buy it (privat person). But if you live in a NON EC Country like Switzerland or the USA who do not belong to the Europeen Union then they do not charge you the UK VAT but the Custom will charge you, your local VAT (for example Switzerland has a VAT of 8% so I would pay 8% + a fee but not UK VAT) There is a Limit (each country has its own, where you can order from another country and wont be charged your local VAT upon import of the goodies. Sometimes you can get lucky too and a parcel with a value ( Products + shipping) over the limit slips through customs. Here you did pay for the UK VAT even though you would not need to but a company is not obliged to do this for export. Hope this helps a bit it seems Lush lets you pay the full UK prices to protect the US Lush Stores so people wont buy to much in the UK.

I use to order from the UK site all the time and then one day out of the blue it said my card is invalid. Every card. Like they blocked my card. What the heck? Hahaha oh man, do I miss the boxing day sale!!

I'm really new to Lush & really want to try some more of their products but have to pinch pennies. Do you really save money buying from the UK site vs ordering on the US site or going into the store? Thanks for sharing your haul.
