Lustre, the Swedish apotheosis of ambient black metal, returns with the new digital EP: “Reverence”.

Compared to “A Thirst for Summer Rain” (2022), the single is imbued with a far darker and more twisted feeling. Twenty minutes of pulsating, vibrant melancholia of the kind that Lustre has become known for. “Reverence” features a guest appearance by none other than J.J. from Harakiri for the Sky, whose vocals bring additional layers with enhanced dynamics to Lustre’s sound.

....i would place it amidst Finnish depressive doom metal acts such shape of despair unholy dolorian....but the keyboards man....are so intense...gloomy and majestical at the same time. And that pace ..fuck ...this is naked brilliance....
