Lutèce Créations invites you to the next auction of automatons, automata, androids and mechanical musical instruments on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Galerie de Chartres.
You will thus discover a set of books, engravings and prints relating to mechanical music instruments and automata as well as fairground art objects (gondola, donkey and merry-go-round dolphin), slot machines and other distributors and a collection of phonographs. The automatons, which will be presented to you during this exceptional auction, are part of the collection of Jacques Bourgade.
Among the automatons: fine metal snuff boxes with a singing bird automaton, fine automatons by Gustave Vichy including a smoking monkey, by Roullet Decamps including a black drummer, by Phalibois including a whistler, by Bontems (bush of birds and singing bird cages) and modern automatons (by Marcu, Camus, JAF and Farkas).
Among the mechanical musical instruments: cartel-type music boxes (Lecoultre Frères, Brémond etc), a "Melodico" table piano, mechanical pianos (including a portable "Le mongol" piano), disc music boxes, organs (including an organ with 9 monkey automatons) and small music boxes.
