Fantastic drumming during this set. It did seem like there was some trouble catching a vibe with Lutan though.Did you guys get to rehearse the set?@@scottdavisdrummer
@midnight-raver yes I, give thanks for your kind words… I wonder if the I saw my reply to the other comment the I left on the full show video? I could get very long winded here but in short- yes, of course we as professional musicians rehearse the set when have these opportunities to back an artist of Lutan’s caliber, or any artist for that matter. None of InI take these works lightly bredren. Often times with a short tour such as this (4 shows, 4 cities back to back and done)…artists & musicians come together quickly before the tour and have limited rehearsal time; furthermore the nature of this music is to change and unfold organically onstage based upon many factors; the crowd’s energy, the sound or monitor mix, etc, and in this case as I have stated to you already, split second changes to the setlist in real time, even including playing a tune that is not on the setlist and was never rehearsed. We had a great run with Lutan Fyah; and the promoters, and the crowds at all the shows, were vibing high…the morale with Lutan and all of InI in the band was high, despite an unfortunate illness. This is the nature of the road and performing live music as session musicians; we are constantly adapting to changing factors around us. With the love and strength of JAH JAH and the energy of the fans we adapt and push forward. Haile I Selassie I
All respect due. It was not a criticism, just an observation. I know Lutan doesn't often make it to the states so it was just a thought. All love.@@scottdavisdrummer
