I was also obsessed with them. I’ve seen them with so many different Fernandes models from 01’-04’. Vertigo’s, montereys, they must of been going through them pretty fast from all the thrashing. Ive also see zao rockin fernandes guitars in vids from 98’. They’re nice little guitars. The new ones don’t look as cool , that’s for sure.

@@billjim334 the vertigo is still the coolest shaped guitar to me and with all the custom guitar companies that have popped up in recent years I'm truly surprised no one has cloned that shape. I think Fender just released a new body style or something that's pretty dang similar though. Would love to see Zao pull out some Fernandes joints haha, but they seem pretty locked in on the gear they use now (which is fair, they were absolutely the loudest band at FF2021 across any of those stages).

I also have loved this guitar since first seeing norma jean in some o god the aftermath music video. I found one on ebay immediately after, its natural mahogany with pearl white pickguard. i think its the H-80. It was a '97 made in japan. i think they change the name to vertigo once they put in the sustainer, and made those fresh new ones without the pickgaurds. Since then I did alot of research about them, since its Japanese company and I can speak Japanese, i search for originally company info, not in english. And so, this model is sold under the Fernandes name in America, but in Japan it is a very popular guitar, however under the name Burny, not Fernandes, BUT it is the same company. This company use name fernandes to make copy of fender style guitar, and company use name burny to make les paul look alike, as well as some other types. and this "vertigo" shape one is original design, and is just known as Burny H-series. but has nickname シャチ (shachi), very very popular, even some famous bands in japan use it, and many different colors, and yeah. cool stuff. i personally owned this same orange one and also turqoiuse one before.. still my favorite guitar!

Dudes me too! It is a damn shame they don't make them anymore. I had an elite and pawned it during my drug problem.

@@MorbidFerrisWheel Haha, we were probably standing right next to each other. I have a shaved head and camera strapped around my neck. A bit hard to see me through most of this clip, but I spotted myself a couple times. This show was very special for me because I'm in the Army and was stationed in Georgia earlier that year so I got to see Luti-Kriss a few times while there, including their "Throwing Myself" CD release show, which was insane. It was great to see the crowd's reaction when they blasted into their first song at Purple Door.

@@saviourofrockandroll Such a small world. I never got into Luti-Kriss too much after this. I went a different way with metal starting with thrash, then NWOBHM, Pantera, Danzig, old In Flames, Corrosion of Conformity, Down, Children of Bodom and that kind of stuff. I've had all this footage and probably 100 pictures of this festival since it happened. I finally had a chance to get it converted to digital and knew other people would want to see it.

2001 can't be more than 5 years ago. You shouldn't feel too old, I'm not even as old as my dad was when this was filmed. And just because the word "filmed" isn't used or understood by these Gen Z wippersnappers doesn't mean we're old either.
