I made a playlist for my crush and this was the second song I added, along with many more that were romantic and dreamy. The months prior to this were just full of pining and flirtatious comments that I wasn’t sure were genuine or just for fun. Well, cut to now, and this girl has felt the same way about me for way longer than I realized. The complete relief that washed over me when I got to finally tell her, coupled with the joyful shock that I got when she said she liked me back was...a magical experience. We’re dating now, and I’ve never felt more free than being able to talk to her and love her so endlessly. So like (cliche warning) I'm totally and stupidly head over heels for my best friend. This song kinda sums it up so accurately it's creepy. When I see her smile it reminds me of mornings before my life went to shit. When she laughs I feel like I'm the most important person in the world bc she's laughing at my joke. I have nightmares and don't sleep well. We had a sleepover and she cuddled me and I slept like a baby. I was gonna run away and live on the streets but she convinced me to call the authoritys. I’ve adored this song ever since the first time I heard it, but recently it’s been sticking with me more. There’s this person I met at a school rehearsal and I immediately wanted to become better friends with them because they’re super funny and nice and have the most contagious energy. Even though I always look forward to seeing them, I tell myself that I can’t seem too desperate or I’ll scare them off. At this point, they probably only see me as an acquaintance because I’ve been too scared to hang out with them more. And now that the rehearsals are almost over, I think I’ll never see them again because we’re in different grades and I don’t know them well enough to hang out with them outside of the show. It’s basically platonic heartsickness, and even though that’s probably not what this song is about it still captures the emotion perfectly.

I have a bad habit of falling asleep before turning off my spotify playlist and I woke up at like 4 am to hear this song because it was in my recommendations after my playlist and I just laid there half asleep until the song ended and I shot up and tried to find the name of the song and just listened to it for a good 30 minutes after finding it again
