Package management can be a time-consuming drain for apartments managers. All throughout the day, they get interrupted by deliveries.
Even after packages are delivered, staff has to organize and store them, or attend to residents who want to retrieve their packages at all hours of the day (especially at closing time!).
Luxer One’s package lockers offer a complete and hands-off solution to this issue for property managers, and makes it easy (and pretty fun!) for residents & carriers.
Here’s how it works:
- First, your local mail carrier inputs their unique access code at any of the iPad screens at the lockers.
- They select the resident they’re delivering to, and take a photo of the full package label (which is better for tracking than just scanning a barcode).
- They’ll select a locker that’s the right size for the package, and its door will automatically open, so he can place the package in.
Once he closes the locker door, the package recipient will get a text and email notification telling them that there’s a package waiting for them, along with a unique access code. Whenever they want, they can retrieve their package by simply entering their access code at the lockers, and (this is the fun part) the locker door will open automatically, revealing their package!
Throughout it all, your apartment’s staff is never interrupted, so they can get hours back to take care of their residents!
