Well, I’ve always been scratching my head about *jklux* obsession with school bags and their practicality, but this video is adorable! Congratulations.
When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from *jklux* on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.
I have two pre-loved *jklux* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are*preluxz* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.
The picotin is an odd bird. I got an 18 about 10 years ago. I absolutely hated it and sold it within a month. Fast forward 5 years and my husband got one for me on a trip ( he forgot I had and hated the first one). Well, I got an organizer for it, which gave it a bit more structure, and since it was a gift I felt obliged to wear it. Weirdly, it has become one of my favorites. I now own 3. 2 18s and a 22. I really love them. Things can change.
I still love my LV reverse monogram*preluxz* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.
I got a Chanel 19 yesterday! and a large one too! 😂 I love that bag so much! Love the squishiness and the grunginess of the mixed metals and chains! I did wait for a color that grabbed me, cause it had to be a cool color and with silver top handle chain and CC logo. Two days ago I sold my LV NeoNoe. Clumsiest bag ever! Got totally influenced by some youtubers that said it was the most comfortable and carefree bag ever. Not a chance! It’s boxy, the draw string was always in the way when you’re trying to get in the bag and the compartment separator in the middle makes the bag even less usable. I did get almost my money back when I sold it (bought it 3 years ago) so that’s that 😊 Love these kind of videos it’s a lot of fun to see different perspectives and opinions 🎣🎣🎣
The 19 is such a tough one for me, it’s like the boy bag, on paper it should tick all my boxes 😂 but in practice it just didn’t - I hope she works out for you lovely!
I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from*preluxz* for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.

Hi Dayle, interesting video. Love it. Everyone has its own preference and choice. Out of the bags you mentioned, I own picotin, Chanel 19 and lv neoneo. I'm still enjoying them. Some of the bags I do agree with your points and will never buy them such as dior saddle, Hermes evelyn. If I have the funds, I don't mind getting Chanel 22. 😂
I’ve actually really enjoyed the video of you roasting the bags and only got slightly offended with the criticism on Fendi 😅. I totally agree with the dislikes on LV and Hermes.

Dayle, Dayle, Dayle….where to begin? I LOVE my Evelyn bag! It’s slim and flat and sits close to the body. You can get a lot in it. It’s a wonderful bag for a casual lifestyle. 🤪 I was discussing the Birkin with my husband (he could not have been more bored) and he told me he would leave funds in his will for me to purchase one with one caveat. I had to carry his ashes around in it! 😂 Oh, well…..🤷♀️ Great video! 🎣❤️
I'm guessing you're not into slouchy bags! I'm the opposite - the Loewe Puzzle is my holy grail bag, that being said I don't like the Lindy or the Chanel 22, but the Evelyn is definitely my vibe (if not my price point), I do like the Picotin up to a point but I prefer something I can cross body. LV will never be a brand I gravitate towards, but Fendi, I can definitely relate to, although not the Fendigraphy (strangely it's the structured peekaboo that I like, and I think the baguette is a no brainer). I love that we're in to different things, and would actually hate being the same as everybody else. 🎣 🐟

I also find the Evelyn and Lindy bags quite overrated and never understood the hype around the Chanel 22 either. Your perspectives are always insightful and entertaining. Keep up the great work!
Also, have you seen those new Fendi baguette WOCs? We don’t have Fendi in Perth so I can’t go see what it feels like/fits etc and your style is basically me to a T so if it suits you it means I can get it 😂😁
I mainly wear the saddle as shoulder bag in summer, without the strap. I find the strap rather extra 😅 don't like the look. Picotin is a bag I have for years but feel like it's not easy to use. Love this video! So fun 😊
🐠 It was so funny how bewildered you looked wondering why people would like those bags 🤣. I agree with some of them on your list, and the rest I either own or might own in the future (btw, the Chanel 19 isn’t clumsy😜). I must say, though, that I was horrified when I saw the current raffia bags in Fendi. They resemble the raffia strings in my kitchen cabinet! I shudder to think how they’re going to fray within the first few months of use. The colours are so dull as well 😖

I am so offended Dayle ha ha ha. Hubby says my Evelyn's look like feed bags (they kinda do lol) but he encouraged me to buy a second one! I agree with almost all of these. And for real we did not design the bags and it isn't like someone said your puppy or child was ugly. Loved hearing the puppies playing! Great video!
I agree on the Caro, I just can’t seem to get onboard. I think it might be the chain, as I also don’t like it on WOCs. That said, I never thought I’d own a saddle, and now I have two. But they’re both strictly hand-held for me. I’d love the horse hair saddle you shared once - that one did have gorgeous slouch ❤
I enjoyed this video. You make quite a few "sensible" points. One luxury bag I don't get is the LV Neverfull. The straps are too thin and make it look unbalanced and cheap in my opinion.
I find this video pretty humerous because there was consistently 1x bag per brand which were no's for you but yesses for me. And the reasons you had for not liking them were the exact reasons why I love them! Love your videos x first time commenter but long time subscriber

Oooh this is fun… I’ll do one each for the brands you’ve mentioned.. Hermés - Constance. Basically screams.. oooh get me, I have a Hermés! The giant H irks me! Dior - Saddle.. why?! It’s an awkward shape and it looks like an internal organ Fendi - Fendigraphy.. remember the Moschino bags in the 90s that had the gold MOSCHINO letters on?! Chanel - classic flap. To me it’s like a granny bag. LV - larger Alma’s. The mini is quite cute if it’s in a fun colour but the Alma in the epi leather looks like a granny bag. I’ll get my coat 😂

🐟 I love this video, I'm glad you mentioned the Lindy, it's awful. I love everything Fendi, however I wish they would stop using tan leather with everything, especially with denim, I don't want everything to be edged in brown. The bag I have a problem with is the Lady Dior, it's so square, and then I feel like the handles are made of cut-out cardboard 😂

Agree with so many of these and love these kinds of videos! I actually do like the Evelyn (casual dresser here🙋🏻♀️) but could never justify the price for such an uninspired bag. So many beautiful bags you could buy at that price point! The small mulberry Antony is the same vibe, packaging is beautiful, and it’s $650 dollars here in the US including tax.

The Longchamp Foulonné crossbody achieves a casual look that is similar to the Evelyne, only it’s entirely minimalist. The thing is that the Longchamp leather is really lovely and it’s affordable. So I would just wear Longchamp to the stables 🐎 instead! The Dior Caro *pouch* takes care of the issues you mentioned, other than the price point, which I find to be seriously prohibitive. At that price point, I’d rather buy Bottega Veneta or a Prada shoulder bag.
🎣🐟 I was waiting to hear quite a few that I disagreed with you on, but actually I do agree with most of these! I love your ‘merch bag’ analogy 😂. The only one I really disagree on is the Fendi raffia, because as you know, I love my browns and tans! But overall, I am a bit disappointed in the last two Fendi collections‘ lack of colour depth. Hoping there will be more bright colours coming soon! I’ve also never been partial to the Fendi multicoloured baguettes - I never actually liked that original design you ended up selling - The regular size canvas ones are just too stiff I agree 🤔

The Evelyne 😂. Especially the larger one it just looks so awkward to carry when I see people with it on the street. I’m not a horse girl so maybe I just don’t get it 😅
I hated the Evelyne but through a twist of fate I got my hands on a black PM one. I hated it with a passion before that, I tell you. But when I got it I just fell in love with using it. It’s so plush and soft and goes with everything for day and molds to your body, fits a ton but is not voluminous, bulky. I still hate the mini, though. I sold mine unworn after buying it from the store (also black). It fits nothing and is next-level impractical.
Funny that you mentioned the Picoton. I didn’t like it at first, but it eventually wore on me. Not sure that I would buy it, but the only color I would want it in is Cassis.
🎣 🐟 love the Fendi iseeu (braided whicker) not buying, nothing more req’d atm. Oh the H horse bags give me the ick & the very aptly named CD saddle bag reminds me of a GP saddle which I used to lug around, clean & polish for years when horse riding. Apparently I like slouchy bucket style bags for every day use so even though I don’t own one I think I will like the Picotin in larger size not the 18 nonsense! And that’s probably why I love my NeoNoe! I use it mostly as a travel bag! LV pool collection is pretty but as summer house/ swimming pool tiles design!!! The rest I also think I agree with you! I use my Chanel 19 but I am pretty sure I don’t love it! It’s just very practical for me! And the bag I HATE… 🥁… Gucci Marmont!!! It’s a NO 😅
🎣 I’m with you on the Evelyn. If the crossbody strap was removable from the Lindy, it would be better. In the US we have a leather goods brand “Dooney & Bourke” they have some beautiful bag styles, but I can’t handle the brown leather trim. I would only buy one that was all one color. Great video.

I normally love a 70's vibe but agree with you on the Fendi summer collection, I still really like the big raffia sunshine shopper but I just don't think I would use it enough. Maybe another baguette in raffia in the future but this year's ones left me unflustered. But it would be so awful if we did all have the same opinions, likes and dislikes! I do have some love for the Chanel 22 - will be interesting to see how long it sticks around after VV's departure!🐠I think the LV Capucines bag is the one I would not even want as a gift 🤣

Not a fan of the saddle either; I purchased it as one my first luxury and promptly sold it as it was uncomfortable as a shoulder bag and the interior seemed weirdly unfinished. 😅
I so agree with you on the Lindy and even say most of my issues with her extend to the side trunk, as for the rest of the bags mentioned I more or less agree too however I do have to defend the ByTheWay at least in it's original form pre hard handles/FENDI lettering on the front

Hi, great topic! I sold Evelyne mini and normal, they are too basic, Noe and Picotin, however Lindy 30 is unique (looks like side trunk), mini Lindy is nonsense. Dior saddle very impractical, but again unique.

Haha I do not like them Sam I am…..I find it interesting when you say some bags are too structured for you when you own so many Petite Malle’s, they are much more structured than most bags. Maybe it’s not structured that’s the problem, but the shape is just not for you. 🐟🐠 Hi Dayle: It's always interesting to see people's differing taste and evolving styles. I tend to like a more structured bag. I hate a shapeless bag that collapses when you put it down. The new P9 Speedy is bulky and floppy at the same time. I don't understand the appeal. I'm also in a very small minority in my feelings about the Hermes Birkin and Kelly. I think they are tired dated styles (although they're offered in beautiful colors). They don't seem to age well. They appear to slump under their own weight and loose there shape.
🐠 I *could* be offended, but I agree with like 90% of these. 😂 Thank you for mentioning the Picotin. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine why people buy that thing. Surely they’ve been Hermès hypnotized.

lol i have 2 each of the BKC trifecta and yet my most used bags are the mini lindy and the picotin 18 😆 and i may get a chanel 22 small 🫣 but im always here for a good roast even of the bags that i love 😘
