Hi, thanks so much for viewing and commenting. And yes I have had to learn the hard way to make sure my backdrops are strong, especially for outdoors. For real, outdoor backdrops always give me anxiety, lol. So I definitely make sure to put in the extra work to make sure they are stable. I already filmed how we put together our wood backdrop, just waiting to edit it. Hopefully it will be out this week or next week.

Thank you for watching and yes my channel is new, I just started it recently. Yes indoor setups are so much better and easier since you don't have to deal with the unpredictable weather. But with the rise in people wanting backdrops for their home parties, we've had to try to make things that are stable and strong for outdoors. Thanks for your comment.

Hi, thank you. I am not sure as this was a while back on the amount of balloons. I can tell you we used 1 bag of each 11 in, 17 in, 24 in. The 11 in come in bags of 144, 17 in come in bags of 75 I believe. And we used a couple of the 30 in balloons. We still had plenty of left over from some of the bags. Thank you for commenting!

Hi, thanks so much for watching and commenting. For this setup we definitely did a little more for this client then she was expecting. Mainly because it was something new I wanted to try and she really let us do our thing. It is great when clients are more willing to let you create than when they say we need this, do this. That being said we did get a lot of questions at the event about the garland. I got the feeling the client would be uncomfortable if we discussed her setup. So I stated we have basic packages that start around $400 and can go up a lot higher depending on what they wanted. I do have some other videos that have the pricing for those packages. What color and brand of balloon is the pink ? This garland is beautiful

Hey, Thanks very much. We use 260's ( 260 balloons are the long balloons people make shapes and animals out of. They are like rubber bands for balloon garlands as they pull tight the balloons to the backdrop) to tie the garland to the ceiling and grass backdrop. I also used some fishing string to tie the garland to the ceiling just as a little extra insurance to make sure the garland didn't come off the ceiling during the event. Thanks for the question.

Hi thank you so much. Yes for now we are only finishing out the events we previously booked. The business grew faster than we expected and I have a full time job and my wife and sister are very busy, so we decided to slow down and take a break. I also started this RU-vid channel and it is a lot of work, so it keeps me busy. But I love making things so, it allows me to be creative!

Can u blow the balloons up the day before to prepare?? Or would it pop?

Yes we blow up the balloons the day or night before the event. If they stay inside a good temperature room and quality balloons they can last days to weeks. But since you never know the weather or client for events we wait till the night before to blow up the balloons. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@phuongmai94 Ok, there fun and pretty easy with some practice. If you look online there is about 4 different ways to make a garland. With fishing string, 260 balloons (the long balloons they blow up to make animal shapes out of, don't blow them up. Just stretch them to tie balloons together. Or you can just wrap clusters necks around each other. Also you can make clusters and keep tying the necks in knots. If you look online there are plenty of different tutorials and that's were we learned. Just find the one that looks the best and easiest for you to understand and give it a try!👍

Oh thank u so much for your advice! Yea I been trying to watch videos. Your video is the first time I seen someone use the 260 balloons. This might be a dumb question. So There’s different sizes balloons 11”, 9”, 5”, etc. why can’t we just buy 11” balloons and just not inflate it that much so it can be the size of a 9” balloon instead of buying a 9” balloons. Instead of like buying all these different sized balloons. If that makes sense?lol

@@phuongmai94 Nah it definitely took me a while to figure a lot of it out. I only saw pieces from different people on RU-vid and Instagram, and trial and error. So, when you buy balloons it is difficult to get all the sizes you need of certain colors. Like for a certain pink you wont be able to get 5, 9, 11, 16, 32s in all those colors. For a balloon garland to look organic and what you see people do online is having different sizes. To do a basic organic garland having the sizes 5, 11, 16s work great and adding one or two 30-36in balloons help depending on the length. You do not want the balloons to be the same size so even the 11s are not fully inflated. So blow the 11s up then squeeze some air out making the balloon to look more round and less egg shape. Egg shape balloons do not look good with the organic style. 11in balloons can be 9 in, 10in. But if you try having 11in balloons the size of 5in they will most likely deflate all the way and it wont work. I tried lol. The 16in as well are blown up then pushed air out to like around 15 in, 14in as well. This creates the round shape and less of chance of popping as well. The number 1 thing that pops balloons the fastest is over inflated balloons and they do not look good. A 11 in balloon can never be a size 14 or 16 because it will be egg shaped, the color will become transparent and it will pop fast. So balloons can be slightly smaller, which look better but never bigger. Thanks for you question.

What size is your grass backdrop?

This backdrop is 8ft tall x 10 ft wide. But I have made it smaller as it was just not worth the extra weight. I have it 8ft x 8ft and it is a lot easier to handle. I also have a 5ft wide x 7ft high and it is so simple to setup, takes 2 minutes. So, I really dont recommend the larger grass backdrop as they can be heavy and a pain to setup compared to the smaller size ones.

What did you put on the back to attach the garland?

Hi thanks for watching. We attached the balloon garland with 260 balloons and tied them to the aluminum pipe drape system. We also used the balloon 260s to tie it to the ceiling as well. Not sure if you are referring to the tarp we attached to the back of the backdrop. It was put behind the grass backdrop to stop the light from shining through. @@MakerDecor oh cool. Yeah you answered my question. I would have done the same to the backdrop but you do things differently sometimes that creative. But to the ceiling you should try magnets. Those 20lb+ clik clik magnets or 100lb ones off Amazon for the ceiling. The extension pole makes it easier and quicker to attach

That's one of the reasons I started this channel is because nobody was showing how they did stuff and were super secretive, lol. The setups we've done have just been figuring it out as we went. Its always great to learn how different people think and setup, because you never know when those ideas might come in hand.
