Are we over luxury shopping? There are so many factors that goes into our purchasing decisions and now we have to worry about all the controversial issues with each brand. How do we do our research so that we can stand behind our luxury fashion purchases moving forward? The Fashion Transparency Index Report is a good place to start. We don't want to be judged for issues we have no control over. Human rights is an important issue as is not wasting our precious resources. We need to do more audits and take accountability of how our items are being made. Toteme is a shining example.

"Savage" is the right word for the chicken industry & certainly countless other operations in this mad world. Which makes Toteme's enlightened approach a welcome bright spot. Thanks Linda! Yes it's nuts out there. I watched at least like 5 chicken documentaries. I only buy organic free range chicken now. Lol I watch a lot of documentaries on Netflix and it sucks you in.

This really isn't that surprising . When large corporations buy up all these privately owned businesses things like this will happen . The only thing they are interested in is the bottom line and how much profit can we make , craftmanship doesn't factor into the equation . If Hermes sells out the same thing will happen , if it does will people still be willing to spend $10,000 and up for a bag .

Like you said peoople who work for these companies need to have jobs so boycotting may not help they will simply fire them if they aren't making money. I think writing letters to the president of the company and letting them know how you feel and anyone else who has any power is a start.

Yea I don't know if boycotting is the answer. I mean I never bought a Dior bag before from the boutique before either way. Can't bring myself to spend retail pricing when I know they don't hold value. We do have to look at the bigger picture!

Hi girl great video and I agree I’m just over trying to be so politically correct all the time every closet has a skeleton in it so I refuse to band a company based on actions of few I’m itching to add the Balenciaga rodeo large it’s coming within the next few months I’m positive if you love the bag and you want to wear it wear it with the parent cancel culture we’re living in at some point there’ll be no one left to cancel IE no one to buy from if anyone digs hard enough there’s something to find with any brand 💚💚💚

Yea everyone is getting canceled left and right. Dude that's rodeo from Balenciaga IS beautiful! Have you ever looked into the history of Balenciaga? It's actually a beautiful one, definitely not they have become today? And 💯 you should do what you want with your money and what makes you happy. As long as it's not illegal.

listen, you are poor and are demanding luxury you can afford. there are at least 1 billion people in the world who want to own prestige status symbol statement pieces. how do you expect dior to produce 100 million bags so that poor people can show off to each other? the design houses are right to jack up their prices to make them inaccessible for anyone earning less that £3million per year. they dont want customers buying their it bag just so they can pair it with a chanel style suit from zara trying to fool the general public that because the handbag is real so is all the rest. no clothing or bag or accessory is difficult to sew. its all done by industrial machine and is quick and easy. its the fabrics and supplies and marketing that cost the money. stop complaining that the quality drops because you demand affordable top designer pieces.

@@Somehowadulting i watched the video. i watch many videos. and in all of them they keep talking about $57 to make a dior cloth bag not realising that the cost is sewing only. i saw the lady in this video moaning about the same old shit with a few cheap bags around her. i hear he moan about dei and pollution and transparency while her rubbish bin is guaranteed full of single use plastics and other toxic wastes. i see a woman whop probably has a bathroom full to the brim with hundreds of of plastic cosmetic containers. did you not see a woman who should worry about cleaning up her own carbon footprint before worrying about large manufactures that careful regulate and control so that as little waste as possible is left as it represents decreased profits? i bet you didnt. bye.
