Actually it’s the other way around. Plenty of small arms ideas were taken from the civilian market to begin with. Even the precursor to the M16/M4 was taken from a civilian model before the redesign. Today alot of new designs are copies from the latest tech from all the manufacturers combined. Quick release barrels were being used in mass by the 1930s btw. Not new at all.
80s is not limited, it refers to the redesign in drop safety and a few other features that even todays some modern 1911s carry. The 80s were some of the most unpopular in the US. Wrong they still make all those guns that you think are discontinued.
The belt fed M4 is not the latest. That thing is about 20 years old… wrong you don’t use water these days, you swap barrels and let the previous one cool down (you might need to drink ur water) You do this every few hundred round straight burst so keep the barrels healthy. If it was the latest in M4 style machine guns, it would need an open bolt feature like the HK IAR witch is being used by the US military. In full auto the weapon will switch it to an open bolt weapon, allowing it to cool faster until a closed bolt 🙄
It’s not called 7.62 Russian 7.62x39…. there’s different Russian calibers that have the 7.62 diameter. The AK is not perfect it will jam in other circumstances. Myth.
