Sorry to say this Deb, but you lost me at the Longchamp incident. There is no rationalising that you used the bag and then returned it. Customers in the US are more accustomed to this no-questions-asked returns policy but I think you know that no European country practices this. Was it super inconvenient that they made this mistake? Of course. Did you ‘need’ to use it to transport things? Of course not, you could have used another disposable bag of some sort.

I was very upfront with Longchamp that I had used the bag. I didn’t try to return an unwanted item and pretend I hadn’t used it etc. This was their error and I hoped they would be able to help me and they did. What they then do with the returned item is up to them. I fully understand that because I used it - it made it more difficult for the store but that’s why I tried to speak to them to resolve it. I didn’t have another option for travelling home - it is a large travel bag so disposable bags would not have worked. I was more upset about the lack of communication from customer services than anything else.

I can see both sides in the Longchamp incident. Once you had used it then they can’t resell it and is against store policy to accept a used bag. But I can totally relate with your frustration at receiving the wrong bag and not being able to get a hold of customer service. In hindsight, yes, get the SAs details and go to a quiet spot to check the bag. I usually go back to my car, lock the doors and check the bag even though I checked it in store. And when the SA said she was getting you a brand new one, you should ask to inspect it anyway just in case it had some defect that passed quality control.

Well the shoe getting stuck on your feet is hilarious….that happened to me before but my husband was eventually able to pull them off. I also bought a bag from Ferragamo last year and the SA went to get a new one and packaged it up. I did not check either and when I got home to proudly show my husband my latest purchase I pulled it out and was confused. I thought “this is the wrong color “ for about 15 seconds and I kept this to myself. Decided to keep it because the store was over an hour away and thought what the heck I will give this color a try and guess what It actually worked out better than my original preferred color. But now I always check.

Doesn’t matter what the “reality” is. It’s unprofessional and disrespectful for a sales associate that you do not know to comment on your body or size. Even if he said “you’re too tiny for this bag” it still wouldn’t be ok.

Atlanta Ga.: I wanted an Agenda notebook. The website said call for availability. I called the number and they said, “Oh yes, there is one left in inventory.” I threw on my shoes and immediately drove 70 miles to Atlanta to purchase the Agenda. I got there within 2 hrs and there was no Agenda in the store. In fact, none had been available for several weeks. When I told the store manager, he just said they never should have told me that. I didn’t ask the name of the lady I talked to on their phone. They said they couldn’t locate one at another store. I was just several months past knee surgery and the trip was a painful journey just getting from the parking lot, through the mall, and into the store. I was so upset that I couldn’t look at anything else in the store even though I had driven so far to get there. I went home, bought one from Fashionfile and got it delivered to my home in just a few days.

Oh boy do I have a story! I wanted a designer handbag but couldn’t afford one so I would pop into thrift stores here in USA to maybe get lucky. One day I did! It was a black caviar YSL handbag with black hardware! I couldn’t believe it was my dream bag at the time. So I get the sales lady to unlock the wire protection tag thing. I take it off and am holding it in disbelief and so happy. The salesperson was a thirty year old woman. So she knew better. Anyway, she grabbed it out of my hands and said I couldn’t have it because it was torn. I told her I don’t care I’m just going to use it for special occasions like dinner out. She won’t give it back and said it’s damaged come back in an hour I’m putting more out. I was shocked. So I came back in an hour and the bag was gone and she said all the bags we have are out. I was so upset. I felt violated and I will never shop in that store again. She looked like a nice trusting mom too. I was embarrassed for my stupidity and greed because I came back. Never again for me.

I want to start off by saying I absolutely love your videos! I always look forward to when you post so you could keep me company during my runs on the treadmill. You definitely help the time go much faster. The only one I disagree with (not that it matters, and I mean no disrespect by this whatsoever) is the story about when you received the wrong color bag. I agree they absolutely should have replaced it since it is not the color you wanted and that is 100% on them however, once you use the bag and I believe you said it was marked up on the train I agree with them that it should not been returnable at that point. It was used and damaged. Again, no disrespect intended it’s just the only one that didn’t make sense to me. That being said, I adore you and your videos. ❤️

Hi. Thank you for your kind comments and for your opinion. No offence taken at all. I appreciate completely. I don’t think I expressed myself clearly. I was more frustrated that they didn’t respond at all for a couple of weeks and I couldn’t get hold of anyone. Once I spoke to nick’s contact at Bond Street they dealt with it immediately and they knew it had been used. I was upset at the tone of the email from customer service that it was really rude when they just said ‘it can’t be exchanged ‘ no apology for the mistake or lack of communication. If Nicks contact had said no to returning I would have understood. I contacted them to see if there was anything I could do etc. I still think it’s bad that it was their error yet customer services didn’t even apologise etc.

Yes I think you were over sensitive. When I was in fendi I tried on a peekaboo n sales associate said that the petite one was much better for me because I have a small frame. I did not take offense to this he actually was right about that because the more I tried on the bags I could see where the larger one overpowered me. So sometimes they r trying to be helpful but we could take it the wrong way. This is what I think happened to u.

I agree with @user. I’m short so I get comments on that fact and overpowering large bags. If I’m sensitive about it, tough luck for me. The SAs are supposed to be there to help us, not guess everyone’s sensitive areas. If that were the case then they have to say nothing. Colors that suit us. Tall gals. Wider gals. Gals with large chest. Gals with no chest. Our physique makes a difference with clothes or bags that we buy - better an honest opinion and best to hear it before you purchase, no?

A friend of mine was shopping alone trying on tankini bathing suits and could not get the top off. She was literally stuck. She ended up yanking it off....and tore her rotator cuff. After over six months of PT and narrowly avoiding surgery, she said she would have been better off just coming out of the dressing room exposed and stuck and just dealing with the embarrassment of getting help than the time and money she spent in the medical aftermath. She had an infant at the time and trying to lift, diapers and car seats with that shoulder.....it was awful.

It's the sales associate's job to help you. You're lucky that you found someone who was being honest with you. I've commented a number of times that people need to buy bags that are in proportion to their body. Not everyone has an eye for proportion.

I don’t think this is necessarily true. I love wearing mini bags. Also love massive bags. It sometimes depends what my outfit is and how I want to style it or what I want to carry in it. I don’t think anyone should be restricted by their size.

Tanya's friend was a thief. In reality Tanya might have gotten off easy to cut that person our of her life when she did. I had a very close friend of 15 years that I discovered had been stealing from me. I was able to prove over $6,000 when he was arrested. Was so painful. Most of your stories are funny, you are such a kind spirit I can only imagine the humiliation at Dior :)

Awful but true. I bought a Chanel bag from Bergdorf Goodman in New York. They sent me the wrong size, although i asked the SA to double check the size. After several days of calling and traveling 2hrs in person to the store, I got a return shipping label to ship the back bag. I personally took the bag to FedEx and took a picture of the box and the weight. Two days later the SA called to say the box arrived empty. No matter what proof i showed Bergdorf Goodman, I was never compensated for the $6000 bag. It turned out that the label they gave me was uninsured, so I couldn’t file a claim with FedEx , nor dispute it with the credit card company. I haven’t shopped at BG since.

Number 1 🤯 wow. I just can’t even wrap my head around that friends thoughts. Omg in at the gym wrong video to watch I was laughing. Not laughing at you. Laughing because I’m so clumsy I fall all the time. One time I was at a fast food restaurant walking to my table with two drinks. I tripped and fell drinks everywhere on me on the floor. I was so embarrassed and there were other people in there. My very first job wheel going through college was working in a restaurant I was pushing the cart with the wine glasses…. Well let’s just say I tripped and the cart fell over and about half the wine glasses shattered on the floor. It was like my first 2 weeks to month of working there.

I haven’t deleted any comments. I needed the bag to transport some items home so I felt I had no choice. I was fully up front with longchamp that I had used it and that wasn’t an issue with Bond Street. I was more upset about the lack of communication from customer services.
