I personally had the vegan leather case... I feel like its going to slip out of my hand at any moment. I threw it out. Dbrand grip case is the winner.

I got the vegan leather case free from some Samsung points and I thought I would hate it. It's all I've been using. It makes it feel amazing on the s24 ultra

@@SamsungGalaxyUnlocked I would have to, but it said that the Samsung money was only valid during that transaction. I got the gadget case, which I tried once and promptly threw away because it sucked ass, and this one as well as a couple screen protectors

@@SamsungGalaxyUnlocked once you start messing with the little lock-in system, you will realize it's not all that it's cracked up to be. I thought it would be pretty cool and useful too, but the locking mechanism is just kind of plastic crap

I really like this black vegan leather case: it fits the S24 Ultra perfectly, is often on sale, and is actually quite sturdy. Not real animal leather, but as mentioned in the video it is not necessarily a bad thing to get the look without the smell and stickiness...

Hate the Samsung one, feels super slippery and smooth, doesn't resemble leather, just plastic. Switched it for the Bellroy, which is almost identical, but with 10x better leather feel and grip

@@SamsungGalaxyUnlocked Europe. They make leather products, like phone cases. It's pretty much exactly the samsung case (with separate cut outs for the camera lenses f.e.), but proper quality leather

I'm not so sure about vegan leather being more durable. Even from yhe people who make it, generally the best claim is it is "as durable" as real leather. Vegan leather struggles to match the natural self-healing and strength properties of natural leather, while also contributing to plastic waste.

@@SamsungGalaxyUnlocked full grain leather will "self heal" from scratches and minor cuts due to the way the grain structure weaves into itself. That's part of why it's often used for things like boots in hard use scenarios. Obviously a phone case will not go through the same abuse as a wild land firefighter's boots, but it will help keep keys, pocket knives, or an occasional fall onto cement from destroying your case.

Sorry dude but fake leather is less durable than real leather by far. Real leather is something you like or you don't. The smell, the feel, etc is just how it is and fake leather is just not the same. I got this case as it's the only option samsung gives me now and I'll definitely miss real leather moving forward. Not a bad case IMO but quality wise it's a huge step down.

You're right, I guess it's just a choice and taste thing. I can't stand real leather, it just ends up smelling like vinegar. Preferentially I prefer the Silicon stuff or synthetic materials designed for a use case. I hear Dbrands one is really ready good though!

No it's not. Real leather is less durable. I think you mean real leather feels more premium and ages better. Real leather gets ruined if it gets wet.

Vegan leather is not real leather at all. It's plastic based.

I hate the vegan leather case. It felt nasty. I swapped it out for a cheap clear one. The cheap plastic case feels less plasticky than the vegan leather case. I hope they bring back the real leather cases.

I think people might expect it to be smooth like leather but I preferred the grippier texture. Only problem is it collects dust and flint in my pocket 😓
