Coming directly from 300 dollar room in pakistan and 450 dollar to a room in india well i can say alot of difference in hospitality, structure and in beauty ❤
@@vimalbisht2369 true but its their opinion and their thought which they were expressing in this comment. What you are saying is valid and ur opinion also matters but don't just go and tell someone to shutup like "womp womp" 🤡
Chris and Max you are the only foreign food vloggers who reviews not only Indian street foods but also our luxurious 5 stars. Good job keep EATING❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
But the level of happiness and satisfaction of experiencing these five star hotels is on whole another level as compared to just watching videos of someone experiencing them in real life.
You said you was upset that they weren't no sweets in your room when you arrived. Remember you came a hour and a half early, so they probably didn't get everything done. Just like the drinks and snacks guy came when you were goin to your room. Can't be mad when you show up early and everything isn't done.
Chris you are such a beautiful soul and wonderful person, love how much compassion and respect you show the locals, well all people, and don’t travel to go mock other cultures and poor people like some you tubers do, to simply enact shock. Love your channel as its balanced, fair and moreover love your style for vlogs, you are one of the best travel vloggers amongst utubers - ps my grandad was from punjab and you speak better Hindi than me lol
I would be so pissed off if I kept getting called on my phone. A text would be good. I love your relatability, your friendliness and your willingness to be so open to experiences.
The staff in this hotel seemed very hospitable like the rest of people in India, without a doubt. Nonetheless, I feel like there's a thin line between hospitality and pushiness, and they were definitely crossing that line. I would've told them straight up, even if it'd come off a little bit rude, I felt uncomfortable just watching how Chris got like three calls and two people ringing on his door's bell.
@@RDPOINTOFVIEW Well, I'm just giving my opinion as a foreigner. I've never been to India, but I would've been annoyed if I were in his shoes. Don't get me wrong, I watch all his videos and even want to go to India myself one day, but this hotel's service was borderline stalking, and as he said they wanted him to buy stuff, just my opinion.
@@Coconut82727actually Chris made up things in his mind a bit which weren't actually there.he overthought a bit......but of course the lady messed up his experience else everyone was up to the mark I guess
If you buy from the fair, flea market then you have to pay. It's not free except for breakfast. I don't like anyone calling me while I'm enjoying my stay. They can text
@@rutvik23 I would say it's more about the cultural experience which is made available to make your stay more memorable. More like traditional music, dance and food. It's a personal choice to skip if someone wants to but that shouldn't happen if they're misunderstanding it for something which it is not. Chris had a bias and he didn't want to spend any more. I do agree they should not call multiple times, but it is absolutely ok to call once to remind since it is too much to miss if someone just forgets about it. (Not so much if you are not into exploring the tradition etc.). A marketing pamphlet in the room explaining the details would be nice.
I don't want any disturbance while I am enjoying my time, you can inform once that there's an event if you would like to join that's it and that buttler is a headache!
This is the hospitality and service you would most likely receive in India because most people are ''rich'' and obviously this is how ''rich'' people in India are expected to be treated like ''royalty'' otherwise they would complain because I stayed in a similar place in New Delhi and I received the same service however if Chris spoke in Hindi then they would know he is chilled out person and not a snotty rich foreigner!
Chris, I had a similar experience at the Leela Palace in Mumbai many years ago. Non Stop buzzing on the door, do you want this, do you want that, try this, try that. One person was doing the round offering to polish your shoes (free ofcourse) but it was like busier than the busiest street of Mumbai. I just want some time to rest and sleep - please leave me alone!
You just have to tell reception to not disturb you. That's all. Just say that. They do what customer wants. Some customers need pandering. If you want to left alone, just tell that. It's not offensive or rude to say that in India.
Hello Chris, Great video. Really enjoyed watching your palace adventure. Beautiful location and looks to be superb service and pleasant staff. I hope your toe injury has fully recovered. 👍
What a nice humble man have compassion for others great work god bless you brother keep growing I usually dnt subscribe channels and comment but this was for you
I have been working in the hotel industry for over 12 years. In my view, hospitality revolves around caring for guests, but at times, it can become overwhelming. This often stems from the management's training methods, where every action is strictly scripted, leading to a sense of annoyance and discomfort. I believe that providing service quietly and efficiently is more effective than an overly friendly approach, which can come across as insincere.
I'm from Trinidad and Tobago... I'm a black and white Hebrew child... Mixed with Aryans, Indian, Hebrew, black Arab and Basque... Most of the Indian never left India... Indians are really Aryans...! Today everything is all mixed up with various ethnicities etc...
If you go to any Leela Palace hotel across India, their service is a bit subservient almost to the tune of what royalty would expect. Some people, both Indians and travellers book them for this particular level of overt service, which can be a bit too much for others. If you book one of the non 'palace' brands of Leela hotels, you can get the typical Indian level of 5-star hospitality without being so 'pushy'. I don't think they are trying to upsell extras with these, they are selling mainly a truly 'royal' experience from the bygone times. Pity you missed the breakfast, that is also something really impressive.
Hello chris !!! Love your videos ... Btw i noticed that u took the flight to jaipur probably from delhi , its cool ,though, if you are planning to back to delhi from jaipur u should experience the new vande bharat train from jaipur to delhi, i think that u will love the new experience and i my opinion that train has a lot to offer for your videos i think. Just my suggestion😅.. Keep up the cool videos, love you content.
Dude be hydrated. Temperature is messed in north India, better avoid travelling or travel to kerela right now, the weather is fine over there, after August it's going to be normal in north India . Try to avoid heat stroke by calming and relaxing 😎. Have a safe journey 🙏☺️. One of your followers 😁
It would be good if you don't try to act like his granny and teach him where to go....he is a grown up guy and there are loads of places to chill in North India during summers...else he can visit Shimla Manali...so pls
i just hope you get to experience the street food of Jaipur. Try dal bati at a dhaba if you can. Hotel food is great but I have been to Mohan mahal and it is nowhere close to what you will get in the streets and dhabas of Rajasthan. I am surprised to see the property goin downhill since it got converted from JW marriot to The leela.
I am from India I live at Amritsar Punjab India district Amritsar golden Temple famous world. Many people country comes to golden Temple 2lakh people daily take food free. Very good u comes to see that.
It's a translation issue. The sticker on the wall switch should have said "DO NOT TOUCH". That's what they meant by the sticker. The man who came in pointed at the switch and said "Do not disturb". He did not press it or test it. Do not disturb is the same as saying do not touch. Their body language looked to be "damn it, someone pressed the button AGAIN!"
I was hoping to see a series where they just kept buzzing your room every 2 minutes. And Chris descends into madness. 30:29 Just more and more of them show up. haha Chris tries to fall asleep, wrapping the pillow around his head as he continues to hear the notifications.
Actually it's a 5 star hotel...you just can't expect that in India ....they are very professional and I am sure the lady must have been kicked out if the management comes to know of her cockiness
@@ShrutiSachan-zn1fy My comment was meant to be humorous. Me imagining a scenario where they just keep buzzing his room and he keeps getting increasingly frustrated.
Hi Chris love the videos that u do…please do visit Kerala there r so many varieties of food that u can try…hope you visit and meet u on the journey…happy travel and take care bro
Oh, u ate dal bati churma wrong, u just mix dal bati for one bite & take a bite of churma.. churma is a sweet component of the dish & is meant to break the spicy monotony of dal bati..😮
U should start a palace series in which u try palace hotels & review them for us. Show the people hotel experience who can not afford them even in wildest of dreams.... & U can get palace/heritage hotels in almost every state of India.. it could be definitely a super hit series.
I shaw the part of this vdo in 'India and Pakistan luxury hotels review' now I watching full vdo 😊 I shaw the vdo yesterday with Sachin in Delhi. Sachin is gem yr😊😊
What do you mean 36 degrees is not hot ? Are you crazy ? That's the highest temperature during summer in some parts of NE and we feel like burning in hell.
Lovely looking hotel, I’ve stayed in a few Leela hotels in India and find them very good, but twin standard beds in the room, I would of been into another room with a kingsize bed in a heartbeat.
aji ghanta mera, rajputs were famous for marrying their women with mughals, ghanta yodha. aur waise bhi aaj ke rajasthan main sirf choode chamar khateek hi dikhte hai kaale peele se kamzor beemar rehne waale.
The restaurant and service looked incredible! I’d love to have a dining experience like that if I ever visit India. Seems magical! Definitely worth it for around $53
Love you India 🇮🇳
Dude you Americans don't understand, They don't want you to miss what is happening there and you can see and meet, greet with everyone so you will have real experience. you wanted to relax and sleep some place you can do that for much cheeper way. This place you can explore and see how they do what they do, They are not asking your money. They probably make pretty good money even if you don't give him a tip they will be fine.
Its not a tip. They ask for money every time they want to add you some special service during your stay. Its like you go buy a phone and they offering you free netflix 2 year guarantee extension new earpods case for a phone new fibre broadband and satelite images of tesham mutna. And you just came here to buy a phone.
Please don’t use Jesus’s name in vain. I understand you are frustrated. They are very annoying. But please do not be offensive to those who believe in Jesus Christ.
Don't you think that by now Jesus has gotten used to people calling out to him when they stub their toe? It's either that or "Doctor!". Except a doctor would likely not hear you in that moment, while Jesus is everywhere.
Chris bro, I recommend to you visit to haryana and specially villages of haryana you love that In haryana you see the greenery and natural resources. The young farmer of haryana and Punjab modified there tractors and they look amazing. I think if you travel haryana and Punjab villages this experience is different and special for you
Umm…longer vlogs are PERFECTLY good! You can’t pack in all the adventure Chris has in 10 minute videos… if you find them too long, you can speed up the playback speed to double.
