poikonen01 I agree. I used to only want cash back cards, but then I started to realize that it's much better to have the option to redeem for travel at a better-than-cash rate because if I need cash I could always just redeem the points for cash.

@Sebby can you please do a review on the JetBlue annual fee card and the Barclay arrival +. I'm having a hard time deciding which one to get. I want the Barclay but the only thing holding me back is that I can't find information anywhere if I can earn bonuses other than spending money. like for example on my united card I get bonus for signing up to things like dinning and directv. those makes a big difference. please please! help.

Hey Ask Sebby, didn't know where to ask this but what are your thoughts on the Capital One Venture card? 40k mile sign up bonus after 3k/3mo spend? $59 annual after first yr. Thanks for feedback, wanna get into the traveling/miles game

Had the Black Card and it had very little benefits, besides a couple of pairs of Raybands, a watch, and an LED Mag-light flash light. I'll stick to CSR and Amex

Did the "luxury items" warrant the annual fee? I'm trying to get a better understanding of the pricing of the "free" items they sent and also how often they were sent.

Eduardo Flores agreed. I like that the other companies are trying to compete but unless they work on the benefits and such they won't be around long. However, the one thing I like about the luxury card line up is that they're metal so that's really the only pro I see with them so like staying with platinum and CSR.

Ask Sebby the LED Mag-light retails for about $50.00, and the Ray-bands retail for about $100.00 (they sent me 2 pairs). I don't thing they justify the high annual fee.

You're better off with an Amex Platinum if you care about prestige. No one will care or upgrade you for a lux card while the Platinum comes with hotel status (Gold at Marriott/SPG/Ritz/Hilton).

The cards seem to offer nothing that you can't get from much better cards like the CSR, and if there are really people out there getting cards based on what they are made out of, then they have much bigger problems than this.
