The perfect camping opportunity presented itself with a U-Haul rental depot directly across from a campground! It just took a quick trip to Canadian Tire and a thrift store to get the van ready for camping and I was all set. It turned out to be a surprisingly appropriate vehicle to camp in for the night!

OK I'm not sure what happened but we went from super humble camping behind city welcome signs and abandoned trains and isolated highway medians to glamping with curtain rods and a TV in an U-Haul, using large sparklers to start a fire, and a pizza oven in just a few videos. I LOVE IT. And like everyone is saying, anything you do in this unique creator space is watchable but all these extras are very welcome and entertaining.

My best friend Natalie was in the hospital for awhile. She almost died..... I couldn't afford a long term stay at a hotel. So I rented a U-Haul, so I could sit next to her, in her hospital room all day, till visiting hours were over. At night I slept in the U-haul, in a sleeping bag, in the parking lot of the hospital. Steve, watching you decorate the interior of the U-Haul added sweetness to my memory of a very tough time that I went through. Thank you.

As far as uhaul, I totally understand how this is NOT what their vans are intended for, but as long as you are not damaging it, there should be no problem! Also, you said you only moved it a very short distance, so that means ZERO wear and tear on the equipment! Looks to me like: No harm, no foul! Good luck in the future.

Steve, when you pulled out the sparklers to light I giggled. Then when you started wrapping them together i knew exactly what would happen; probably 15 years ago at this point for new year's, my extended family decided we would get rid of a bunch of sparklers by lighting them in one big bundle. Our "sparkler bomb" as we called it took a bit longer to go off but it was just as exciting as yours. Especially since we lit it in my uncle's backyard 🤣 Thanks for the laughs and videos!

My friend has a climate controlled storage unit in a place that has enough room for 10 cars inside. She stats insude until 10 pm...bathroms.. and then she pulls her small U-Haul just outside in the parking area with a box spring and a mattress that she normally stores in the climate controlled storage facility. It is only two blocks to a gas station that opens up at 6 in the morning and it is in a nice suburb of Minneapolis-Saint Paul

U Haul should be happy for free advertisement. One of my neighbors rented a U Haul and used it has a mobile welding shop until his truck was fixed. So Steve renting it to hunker down in for a night shouldn't cause such a big deal. 😂

I’d love to see Steve do a coast to coast (to coast?) trip where he connects with all of us to camp on our property, eat with our families, fish on our boats, sing around the fire with us and just generally Steve it up with us. Oh my gosh, I am in the hospital with pneumonia and on oxygen, and when you lit off those sparklers I was laughing so hard my nurse came in to make sure I didnt need my.oxygen turned up. 😂😂 Thanks for the best laugh I have had since I have been sick, Steve! Being new to Steve’s content, I was a little confused that U-Haul would ban him just for using their vans in an unconventional way. Then he lit the sparklers and it kinda clicked. Fantastic video, you’ve earned another fan.

Yeah, I used to light bundles of normal sized sparklers and they never took off like that. I wondered if he maybe doused them with lightler fluid or something. Got that firewood lit quick though!

Used to make "Sparkler rockets" as a kid, 20-30 sparklers wrapped in a lot of electrical tape, goes flying, huge shower of sparks, good times.

@@daveh7720 It happens when a bundle of sparklers are put in a confound place, where the gases can build up and cause an explosion. We used to light them and put them in peoples letter boxes in the 90s when we were kids lol

Steve, I really enjoy your videos, watching you hunker down for the night just reminds me of all the wonderful times I had in random locations as part of scouts. The sparkler campfire reminded of being in my teens and starting a fire with a box of matches that were a little wet when it was raining and all the wood was soaked! Thank you for your videos!
