Actually, a couple of years ago a watched someone on RU-vid explain the same process of pinning a Lucas pump. Never had to do it but it still interest me. Aside from that, aren't skid steers a joy to work on? Don't they give you the warm tingles all over when you know you have to get deep in one? Damm skid steers!

I had an identical skid loader years back( boy still wish I had it) , and ran across a fuel issue as well. Thank goodness is was the diaphragm in the primer pump for me! You just can beat those 3cyl engines, run forever!! Very good information here on that pump!! I was so worried when I tore into the Ambac100 on the 1086, but just like you...took some time, did it carefully and she purrs to this day!! I will keep that in mind now on the 250 c as well! Very amazing tare down my friend! Now is this a new purchase, did I miss that🤔 Or something you have had? Thank you regardless my friend!! Looking fwd to more on this one!! I tell ya, that turbo makes this thing act like a big one !! I've had it about 5 or 6 years. It only comes out to play on occasion. We actually have to add spacers to it so a set of Bobcat steel tracks can be added to it over the rubber. Deep down I knew it was going to be the injector pump. Just too much contamination with the dirty fuel plugged the filter, the pre screens, the transfer pump and lastly the biggie....the injector pump itself. Should have it up and running again soon. I hope. LOL Glad to see you had a couple days of R&R...feels good doesn't it. Take care my friend and have a good evening !!
Good after noon Doc. Yes, it's kinda vital information when removing these that have no timing marks. Well, real mechanics wouldn't have too much of an issue, but us barnyard mechanics do. LOL
First thing I'd do is change the in line pre filter and both fuel filters, if it has two. Some only have one filter. If yours has a filter mounted 12v electric transfer pump, I'd verify it is pumping adequately. It pumps fuel out of the tank into the filter(s) then to the injector pump. Remove the discharge line off the transfer pump and turn on the key. It should pump a steady stream of fuel into an open container. If not, the transfer pump is bad. I'd do all that first.

You never know what you'll run into with contaminated fuel. Most times light contamination is taken care of with a filter change or two. More serious contamination can drive a preacher to drink !!

The Missus got on an 'oil can kick' one time about 30 years ago. She had a fifty cent rule....she wouldn't spend more than .50 on one. LOL So I have from tiny to giant sized ones all over the shop areas... What a gal !!

I have 1999 new holland lx865 turbo i put fresh fuel in tank & made sure pickup line cleaned clear I even installed new fuel lines & clear secondary fuel filter attached to pickup fuel line when turn fuel pump on no fuel pump threw clear filter what should I do?
If you are able to hear the pump run, it could be that it is plugged up itself and not able to create the suction required to move the fuel up the line. Is your transfer pump the one that actually mounts to the top of the fuel filter..? You should be able to hear it power up when you turn on the key. If I am remembering right, there is a tiny screen style filter on the inlet side of that transfer pump. If so I'd check that first. If it's not powering up, there is a three wire rubber plug. Check for 12volts on that plug....unfortunately I don't remember the colors of the pump circuit off hand. Have you loosened the fitting on top of the filter to allow air to escape as the fuel pumps in ? It may be so tight that the pump cannot pump against the air lock created by not venting and without fuel in the circuit the injector pump probably can't force air out the injectors... Just throwing thoughts out there. These things can be a pain for sure.
I actually just replaced electric fuel pump it located on top fuel filter it just like yours same setup I here pump on when I turn key but not pumping fuel pick up line hose gonna try tomorrow bleed air out pump first
@@josephpaglia488 Yes, that's a good idea. to check the output of the pump disconnect the discharge line and pump it directly into a clean can. That should easily pump the filter and inlet line full. Then you'll know THAT part of the fuel system is working correctly. Good luck Joseph.
I found issue it was the boss fitting that feed fuel pickup line hose & fitting plugged up with good amount junk once cleaned it out with carb&choke cleaner blow it out after that bleed system skid steer fired right up I was very satisfied see it run again.
