She is so adorable. Babies are just the most precious thing in life. I pray for them all the time, that they might not be abused or abandoned. It's so beautiful to see babies that are very loved and cared for.
I would give her the spoon she is already ready to learn to feed herself and that is pretty exciting. Whats a little mess when it comes to learning how to use your hands.
When my babies started reaching for the spoon I gave it to them and I got another one, so I could make sure they got food in them and they got a little in by theirselves....they were perfectly content....its messy but they have to learn
At first I let them hold the spoon, with my hand over theirs. After a few weeks of that, I let them have a spoon all by their self. But, I did as you also. Yes, they were content.
That's so cute and funny at the same time. The immediate look is priceless, it must be such an incredible sensory overload going from a liquid diet to solids

Think maybe the start of solids is a little late. This baby knows the spoon goes in her mouth and is being denied normal learning skills. Even though she appears not thrilled with taste she accepts the food but keeps trying to take spoon. Then hand held to not allow it. Wrong, wrong. Give her a spoon, soon give her a shallow bowl with food of her own. She's ready, don't stifle her natural development.
A way to help keep their hands occupied while you’re feeding them is to give them their own spoon. When they reach for the one you have trade them out☺️ Babies first sensories are smell and touch then taste that’s why they want to grab everything and put it in their mouth😉
I'm pretty sure she does not like it. This is why we normally start them off with baby cereal, which is pretty blah. They can learn the mechanics of eating without hating the taste.
I can't understand why parents don't make their own baby food. Maybe this mom did but it's not likely. It would be far tastier to bake a sweet potato and mash it to feed the baby. You could mix it with banana, too. It would taste a lot better than jarred, boiled carrots. 🤮
Looks like she might be a leftie! When you hand her things...try to be aware to hand them to her in her right hand. My son is a leftie and I swear it's because without realizing it I was handing things to him to his left hand all the time. When there babies their little brains are learning so many things. Things are a bit harder for lefties. Just a suggestion.
Y’all need to relax. Odds are she’s still young and you don’t know if she’ll end up with it all over her instead of in her mouth but I hear ya. Parents wanna enjoy the golden years of feeding their baby cause they’ll never get them back once their doing it themselves. The. Their doing everything themselves before you know it and all grown up. My parents where still feeding me at this age.
My nephew used to store it in his cheecks and if he caught someone's eye, other than his mother, he'd blurp it out and laugh. Mommy got irritated but I thought it was hysterical.
These seemingly minor moments w/ our infants are, actually, extra special. I still recall the 1st time we were leaving our new baby in a care area while we took an Infant CPR class & I needed to create a name label. God Bless all children everywhere.
