I have seen them live in Germany back in1990, when they supported Queensryche during the European leg of the “Building Empires “ tour. I was blown away by their performance and course of the songs of “ Wicked Sensation “. Useless to mention, that I had to buy that album. Never forget that evening...priceless memories !
Wow, this has to be THE BEST live performance by the mighty George Lynch I've ever seen on RU-vid! The freestyle blues-rock jam at 23:04 and his solo at 40:41 during "All I Want" are particularly amazing! His playing is truly like a "screamin' demon" here - unleashed, passionate beyond belief, and raging with emotional fire!! I swear, I have yet to hear a modern day "fusion shredder" touch this level of unbridled emotional release on stage, not to mention his truly unique "sound" and voice on the guitar. Truly, George was a unique phenomenon in his prime years, and he will always be one of my all time favorite guitarists! What really blows me away is the amazing "sound board production" on this live show, it's just incredible. So many of the other shows on RU-vid that I've seen George in, with Dokken, or in his later years, simply don't sound this good at all. The balance between the bass and the drums, and George's amazing guitar tone, along with Oni's phenomenal vocal prowress, all make for a phenomenal, one of the kind show! Thank you for uploading this - and especially a big thank you to the guy that captured the bootleg video in 1991. 👍☺
I agree with you, George is out of this world, still full on focused intensity and considered musicality to this day. For me, he's just kept getting better too
0:02 - She's Evil but She's Mine 2:48 - River of Love 7:50 - Wicked Sensation 13:36 - No Bed of Roses 20:00 - George Lynch Solo 27:04 - Mr. Scary 31:39 - For a Million Years 38:25 - All I Want 44:23 - Tooth and Nail 49:15 - Dance of the Dogs 53:22 - Street Fightin' Man
I'll have to admit, and if you don't agree you owe some intense time to listening to this disk, it's in my top five all time favorites, and on the strong side of five...btw... Peace, R
Just stumbled onto this video. Superb live sound. Mick and Anthony were such a tight rhythm section. One of my all-time favourite albums (Wicked Sensation) - not a weak song on it. Oni cool as - not identical to the studio but that's not what live is about.
Found Wicked Sensation by chance in a record store in '90 or '91 and it stayed in my CD player for months. It's still that binge-worthy 30 years later.
I used to do live sound and it's not at all difficult to get this kind of sound with great equipment and the right room. Especially if it is full of people. Mick and Tony always had amazing vocals, even live. No backing tracks needed. And these guys were hungry. They had just come out with their first album as Lynch Mob and were eager to blow people away. It shows here in spades. What a great show...
Oni made all the right moves within the biz and made himself available for lynch to c...and appreciate. Good work my fellow dreamer from fort liquor Dale. Glad to c ur still kicking! Danny d
20:11 That live unaccompanied solo is just incredible! 23:05 Blues Lord George!! The show is probably some of the best playing I've ever heard George achieve ever!! Phenomenal!👍
The quintessential rock band given us from the gods! This is a great show! I only wish GL would dig some of these great shows out from the beginning of this band, edit them a bit, and sell the DVD's... Peace, Rodent
@@joeylyons4549 I've been a fan of the band myself for a long time but only saw them the first time this year. Wish I could have seen them when Oni and Mick were still in the band. They are still amazing live though.
1991 I was 14. Lynch Mob and Enuff Z'nuff put out albums that reached my all time favorites list. Not long after LA Guns would release Hollywood Vampires, which joined their ranks. Incredible music, and musicianship. Lynch Mob was dufferent though. It more suited my parsonality and appealed to a wider swath of my prefrences. George Lynch is my favorite guitarist of all time - even though I'm a drummer.
Does anyone at this concert have memorabilia on steelheart such as recordings, flyers, ticket stubs, pictures? I am a collector and if you have stuff to share/trade/sell, well, you're welcome :)
The audio must of been fed from the mixer. No way a video cam had mics that could attenuate and get a proper full sound. It does sound great. Too bad the ABC concert didn't sound as good as this. Awesome job capturing the good ole days.
Sounds like audience recording to me, but looks like the filmer was back near the sound booth which is a good spot to be. Not too close to be overwhelmed by the audio and getting the full spread of the PA audio. Either way, this is amazing.
Eventually leading to a break up, and complete depression on my behalf... I still loved the show myself, considering the massive number of shows played up until this point in the tour. However, there's really not a great deal of live footage out there for the stellar initial album release performances. I vote for more footage please! Peace, Rodent
In those days, unless you went to see them, you didn't have a great deal of computer media available. Also, I remember the "In Concert" TV showing, sponsored by Cher, at the end of the debut album release tour. By that time, Oni had almost completely lost his voice and the controversy with the band started...
I remember watching that when I was a kid, and wondered what happened to his incredible voice. I figured he was just fatigued or something. How unfortunate to have that happen for a TV show! He's one of my all time favorite singers. Him, Dave Coutts, Sebastian Bach, Phil Lewis Freddie Mercury.
I got most of these shows from bootleg recordings on DVDs from around the internet. I just wish this Florida show had the first few minutes and was complete! This show is probably THE best of this era! Thanks for checking it out!
Just found this one, killer set, lynch was on top of his game here. He's still badass and touring..check out his latest album called the END MACHINE, all of former DOKKEN members except Don Dokken. The singer of Warrant is the front man, Excellent Album Classic Hard Rock, every Track is Good. Hard to Find know days..
Amazing show from one of the greatest bands ever. Although I will never understand why they opened with SEBSM lol. Don't you wanna open with an up tempo banger? ROL would've been perfect!
Wow, thanks for posting this! huge Lynch Mob fan, the audio is amazing, not sure if its been touched up, but you can actually hear the bass! Lynch is on tonight, this was a great show, Oni just killed it. Still dont have a good answer why Oni was kicked out after this tour. I feel for your dad holding this camera up all show, ouch. A huge request would be to upscale this to 1080 if possible, I know there is some good software that does this. thanks again!
Pretty sure it’s tape. You can really tell on the live ABC In Concert videos. Mick can sing for sure but these sound like canned vocals on the big choruses.
Back in the day when cameras were illegal and got you kicked outta the concert. Nice sneak in record dude. I live here. What venue was this? My 3 guesses are… is it downtown ft lauderdale.. used to be called backstreet? Culture room? Or revolution.
Saw them when they came to Philadelphia the same year. I can't remember who or if there was an opening act. For some reason I wanna say King of the hill, does anyone know?
@@guitarfreakkkkk I thought so, thanks. I found pictures from that night, both bands along with a Lynch Mob guitar pic. I gotta organize my stuff better.
@Kale Baldwin (cont.) George not being able to maintain a stable lineup and treat it like a band rather than a solo project brought it down, I'm sorry to say.
It sucks now. George is butchering his old solos, Oni's voice is shot to shit, Mick is getting DUIs (while maintaining a gig with The Nuge...go figure!). Anthony is with Ace Frehley, but he's standing off to the sidelines with his band Pisser while Ace is losing his property and not playing out. And he doesn't wanna associate with George.
Kale Baldwin George is not butchering solos, the man is 62 but still kicks ass! He's one of the busiest musicians I know! Anthony is with Jake E Lee now with Red Dragon Cartel
