Lynch claimed that Don Dokken wasn't a good singer yet all of the singers he hired for Mob except for Mason are subpar and can't hold a candle to Dokken
Hearing George at the very beginning is electrifying! The lead singer isn't to bad! He has range! I still remember back to 1985 when Don Dokken was singing this. It was amazing!
Phwooooaaah!!! Who's this singer kid? He shattered that microphone! George looks happy and energetic for the first time in many years. He plays offscript lately and seems to wander in the weeds without direction but this performance was decent. His tone is pretty good but that singer just KILLED it and saved the day!!!
Dokken was one of the best bands coming out of the LA music scene. In my opinion, they should have gotten a lot bigger than they did. Not quite on the level of Van Halen, but not very far behind. It’s a shame that Don and George couldn’t stay together and take Dokken to another level.
People don't know but George Lynch is in the same class as Randy Rhodes and Eddie Van Halen, but in a style of his own. I wish Danni Villarreal of the Warning would Larne some riffs from him...
Nearly every vid I've seen of George's (with a few exceptions) has the Phase 90 going most of the time. I think he got the idea from Van Halen's first album, and then does his own thing with it... There's a long Japanese concert of him in 2012 that's on YT where George has it going most of the time. Didn't detract from the tone in any way, at least in my opinion.
tend to get that with George, depends on how he shows up that day. He's an artist, a lot of improv stuff, which is brilliant at times, though at others potentially challenging depending on expectations. Total legend either way and still sounds great overall.
We'll take it. We need another metal explosion like we had in the 80s. With his energy, he's obviously his own man. Got his own style. Good enough. If it really was an issue, George would have addressed it. Works for us. Everyone sounds great and is breathing some pretty strong life into some already great songs. ;)
@@markblomer5867 Amen brother! lol Be hilarious if he came out in a leather priest collar/ie P. Steele TO outfit flipping off non-fans while George stands behind him on a riser soloing his Mr. Scary brains out with a crown or halo hologram over his head. Show Ghost what REAL irreverent rock is. Minus the satanism, though. lol
Singers great but needs to learn to control himself a bit. Lynch is a hero to me but his solo here is so irrelevant to the track its ridiculous, too much noodling within the song as well, i think its throwing the singer off a touch
George has got to relax and just play the song. Not do all these little solos and these little nonsense fill ins. Sorry. The songs way better as it is.
