This made my day :-D. After this, I wanted Sweden to win it even more! Besides Finland (was I the only one who noticed the hilarious azeri-like "finnish postcard" in the background of Mr. Lordi?? :-D) Sweden was the only country who took the chance to score off this years bizarre ESC. And all this in a very humorous way - which was perhaps better than the know-all statement of Anke from my homecounty Germany (but I was still proud of her for saying that). Btw: Sarah should be host 2013! :-)
There's something about this era of Eurovision that just seems so... special. I miss it. Although Azerbaijan did a pretty good job hosting that year, I hope they don't do it again.
Whilst I was thrilled for Cyprus getting the 12 points I really wished they had gone to Azerbaijan as I would have loved to have seen what would of happened!!! 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
She has got the attitude of thick British people towards Europe and the Eurovision absolutely spot on. That's the only country she's "disrespecting." Though the Brits that always bang on about bloc voting should take note that Sweden's top 3 votes go to Estonia, Serbia and Cyprus. Yeah, REALLY just opting for the Scandi neighbours there. I get so annoyed at my country's attitude towards the contest.
it was a joke, her real name is "sarah dawn finer" and if you searh on the name "Lynda Woodruff" here on youtube you will notice that it's a comedian personality.
In what sense didn't the respect Azerbaijan? I think it was more self ironical towards arrogant western countries who don't even check how to pronounce the country's name properly and towards those hystericylla enthusiastic spokespople. I can't see how AZE can even be offended.
I think there is nothing here to overstate. the name of the country is a bit compound and she is foreigner and to pronounce the word is a bit hard for her.
An American friend hadn’t been able to see Mello, so she didn’t know the character. She texted me ”what happened” after Sweden gave their points and I had to send her some youtube videos. Afterwards, when she realised it was a joke, she thought it was hilarious. She’s now one of Lynda Woodruff’s biggest fans
Because we speak the same language, we have the same blood, we 2 are coming from the same race, we have the same cultures, we are the Turks, enough? ;)
And thanks to the Oil and Money it can to pay good composers for Eurovision since 2008. Portugal, Spain and other countrys not need to be envy of Azerbaijan, because there are good singers and good composers for hea since EVER.

Yo sinceramente pienso que es un muy grave problema el que tiene este concurso ahora, y que si no cambian las normas el concurso morira. Es mi opinión.
Also, it is desperately annoying when people talk about "political voting." If people had any grasp of the histories of some of these places, they'd realise many of them are not exactly on the best of terms.
i always have fun with people who are nice,friendly and have a sense of humor ... our government doesn`t prohibit it :D the only problem with our government is that it arrests people who do not breath correctly and eats them alive in the central square to scare others :D
No te preocupes porque estas personas estan insultando todo el tiempo antes del concurso, durante el concurso y despues del concurso. Y como nosotros somos hermanos igual que ellos pues no les hago caso, Portugal no fue a la gran Final porque España no podia votar la noche del 24 de Mayo, porque hubiera estado, y si ellos se votan entre si, nosotros tambien podemos hacerlo, sin problemas, y la musica queda claro que aqui no vale nada de nada.
La la love and euphoria is very alike each other in musicstyle, so the people woh liked the probaly woted for loreen instead. I think la la love deserved a way better place than it got in esc :)
This tends to be based on your own personal opinion of what is good and bad. My opinion, is that any book of received opinion about what constitutes good and bad music is complete bollocks, mostly based on the fact that the music someone likes should be entirely based on whether their ears say yay or nay. Nothing above nor beyond matters at all. I'm guessing you don't follow the contest particularly closely, and that the style of music is not your taste. If so, why bother commenting here at all?

How can an entire people hate someone for this? It's totally innocent. It's fun and indeed it's more making fun of cockney speaking Brits than of Azeris! You just don't get it, right? Relax and don't take things so seriously!
Swoosh... What was that... It was probably the joke that went over your head. Don´t you have any comedians or comedy characters in your country or what? It´s like if Swedes would be offended if a comedian couldn´t pronounce something Swedish, like our winner Loreen och the host city Malmö for exemple. Wait... that is what she has done also. How about some self-distance? If you go around and get offended all the time when you see a comedy act or somebody makes a joke it would be very boring.

paises, nuevos en esto, que no tienen ni autores musicales y a veces ni cantantes, pero que pagan a otros para el trabajo y dar una imagen que en realidad no poseen. Si yo decidiera en la UER no cantarian paises que no pertenecieran a la EU, pero lo haria yo porque estan rompiendo y prostituiendo a la musica en favor de causas propias, burlandose asi de los demas con votos de "hermanos" y haciendo daño Quizas en un futuro proximo muchos paises ya no queramos ir...y canten ellos solos. Mala cosa.

Azerbaijan's song this year, and last year was pretty much swedish... music, outfits, choreography, lyrics, even the backgrounds singers last year was swedish..... just saying
