Lynley: "Havers, Do you know?" 

*flails* *falls off chair* *thud* Oh, bb! This is such a painful ep to watch - it HURTS the way he shoves her away - and yet it's quite obvious that she's getting more out of him than anyone else. And how beautiful, how fitting, is it that it is she who brings him back? She'll always bring him back, because for him, it all comes back to her.

I was really annoyed when they ended the series after series 6 after just two eps. I was even more pissed when the petition to bring it back went nowhere I mean come on people it was a great show. Midsomer, Frost, Taggart and Daziel and Pascoe had been going on more longer than Lynley and Lewis. Why shouldnt Lynley have more. Elizabeth George was writing more novels on Lynley and I've read a couple and their fairly good. The BBC could have seen some potential in them and made episodes out of them.

Couldn't they have ended the series with Lynley deciding to leave the force and returning to be an Earl while Havers gets promoted to DI and transferred somewhere else? Or maybe have Havers killed off and this makes Lynley decide to leave the force. Or better still end the series with Lynley getting made Superintendent (there were a couple of novels where Lynley actually is appointed acting Superintendent) and Havers DI and both leave for different police forces.
