When people tell me they could never live in a van, I tell them the we don't "live" in the van....we travel & sleep in the van.....we "live" outside. Love your videos....my husband would tell you I have mastered relaxing....LOL.
Your video composition and editing plus great sound track are awesome. The ending drone montage I thought at first was a movie ad trailer. A serene way to start a Sunday morning.
Yay! We’ve been to Paris Mtn! (We were at Keeowee Toxaway) I love the camps built by the CCCs! My Granddaddy was in the CCCs in NC, so it always makes me proud to experience and benefit from their work. I love sitting out in the cool fall weather. Owen sounded a bit like Elvis singing the Bear Song. I couldn’t do 8 miles, but .8 is doable. 😉❤ Loved the Shoes song! Love y’all so much. Have a great week! Jane from SC❤🙏🏻
You should be very proud of your grandfather, the work the CCC’s did in that time is pretty amazing. This park was a shining example of that. I agree .8 is a lot more doable than 8 miles. Much Love!
another great video! the shots are great, you are an artist for sure! I love the song! and we have to try that breakfast.. looks so good! thank you for sharing. Bonne journée!
I live in Greenville…always hiking in Paris Mountain. In the Fall every Sat afternoon they have Music In the Woods. The camping there is great when you realize you are only 15 min. From downtown Greenville.
We enjoyed your Paris Mnt. experience and chilling. Having lived near Table Rock and spent time and enjoyed our time there we will have to visit Paris Mnt. Thanks for your perspective on camping.😀😀
Sure got a kick out of Lynn seeing that other Echo! We’re gonna try those yummy tortilla sandwiches. May try ham, eggs & cheese too. Good video! We made it to VA & will be wandering around the Carolinas the next couple weeks in our Revel. If you’re around & care to meet up, let us know!
I think ham and eggs is a great idea for the tortilla, we will have to try that too. We would love to meet up but we are having to stay close to home right now due to family.
I’m thinking a little cinnamon on those bananas? Jam or jelly? Throw in some granola? Endless possibilities! Great idea! We love CCC parks. Have stayed in a couple in Tennessee. Cumberland Mountain is amazing. Put it on your list if you haven’t been there.
LOL, the Echo was an Echo. I’ve done that. And that wrap looked awesome. But breakfast inevitably requires whip cream. We’re off to see fall color in a few days. Wish you could join us. Summer was too short.
Great video! Beautiful scenery. It was being at Paris Mountain. Great see something made in the griddle. The Quesadilla. I’m going to try and make that. It looked pretty good! Have a great week and happy tails to you as well!
I thought this was the Paris and I could say our home base is just south in the Athens area. Oh, one of the other Paris. Enjoyed watching. At the moment, we're in the Smoky Mountain region of North Carolina and will follow up on some of your suggestions.
South Carolina is a lovely state. Paris Mountain was a good choice. Looking forward to more. Great drone shots, Owen! Freya loved all the Maggie clips, too! Was she filming a little? And I always love your music. Thought of you during the hurricane, hope you were unaffected. Peace & Prayers.
That Lake Placid trail looks nice to hike in. Maggie looked like she loved it. I love that song about shoes. Was that Owen? It sounded like him. He’s got a great voice!
Yay! You are in our neck of the woods! We have seen people walk across the top of the dam through the water. We like Merrill shoes too!!! Thanks for sharing!
Those breakfast burritos looked scrumptious! My Dad always said, “Brown is done, Black is burnt” 😂 that looked done to me....yummy crunch! ❤ Mike said we need to do that next time we go!
What a beautiful park; can’t wait to see the rest of it next week. I’ve never made a quesadilla like that before; looks like an absolutely yummy way to start the day. A nice finishing touch might be a dollop of Noosa plain (or vanilla) yogurt on top for me. I see lots of experiments coming up this Winter lol. Take care, safe travels, stay well and hugs for sweet Maggie.
The quesadilla we delicious and so many different options to make it your own. Thanks so much for following along. We appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Park looked amazing with some nice hiking trails. We finally got some cooler weather down south and adventurered out on a 5 mile hike...we even came across one of those wild corndog patches but someone beat us to the corndogs...Happy Trails 🐕
Someone else must have thought you could eat those corn dogs too. We are really enjoying this cooler weather too, it is good hiking weather. Thanks for for watching.
We use a DJI mini two drone. However, there are so many restrictions on where you can use a drone we don’t use it as much as we like. We will try to include how we use it in an upcoming video.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Love the songs on your recordings! I would like to use them in editing into my travel videos. Do I purchase selections from bandcamp? Thanks.
@@markgoben2812 Purchase is an optional word... they are setup as Name Your Own price, which most choose free and we're OK with that. Bandcamp is the only place all the music is available. Thanks for loving it. Owen
I really like your videos. But one suggestion, please! Please don't blast the music so loud when you transition from the speaking portions to the activity montages with music in the background. You go from peacefully talking and me enjoying what you say and laughing along with you (regarding seeing "another" Ekko, lol), to me having to scramble for the volume down button.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle No worries! He does a great job on the videos! I'm sure it's easier said than done, too. I think I'm just scarred from so many other creators' videos that blast the intro music so loud. And I'm old, so that doesn't help, lol. "If it's too loud, you're too old", as they say, lol. I'm shopping/researching RVs right now and I always enjoy your videos. They are peaceful and informative, and they put me in a good mood. I think that's why the loud music that one time threw me for a loop! It was such a contrast from the usual. :) Thanks again for your great content, and don't worry, I'll keep watching. :)
I tend to lean towards comfort. For the last year I've been wearing Hoka waterproof hiking shoes. They are below the ankle shoes with a ton of cushion and support. I tend to want lightweight and comfortable vs rock scrambling support since we usually have Maggie and that seems to work for the places she can go. And I can wear as everyday shoes if needed so it cuts down on what we have to travel with and pack.
