Another sad sad story of Lynn Perry, I did get to meet her some years back very nice lady, I was so shocked she was such a short person no more than 4ft.00, what a sad ending to her no plaque head stone nothing R .I .P Lynn

met lynne a few times.she use to help out at the barrack tavern.penistone rd sheffield,her brother inlaw colin perry ran it in mid seventies,my dad was pool team captain,

Yes it was just recently on the news about her brother dougie brown passing away,didnt know he was in the film kes but he was as the news showed a part of it and as lynn played the mother in it they were both in that film together,when it came on the news I was saying I think his sister played the mother in that film too I think I'm right about that,good film got it on dvd.although the news didnt mention his sister was lyn perrie who played ivy tilsley in corrie,it was his funeral too it showed that on the news too the other day.there was some celebrities there too.

Quite a few years ago now, I was walking past a dentist's surgery and a man and a woman just happened to come out. As she was chatting away to the guy she was with I thought "Ooh I know THAT voice!" so I glanced around and yes it was indeed Lynne Perrie, ( Rather distinctive that voice wasn't it?) it was soon after she had the famous 'Facelift' of sorts which resulted in her getting kicked out of Corrie. Quote:" Perrie had cosmetic surgery that involved having tissue from her backside injected into her mouth, to supposedly gain fuller lips. The results were unflattering, and Perrie was sacked from the show by producer Carolyn Reynolds after twenty-three years as Ivy" (Wiki) . Unflattering? Honestly, she looked as if she had a huge cooking apple in her mouth. (Although maybe the dentist's visit didn't help matters much)

She played the part of Ivy to a tee in Coronation Street. Unfortunately she had an operation to plump her lips, ultimately costing her the part RIP Lyn .

I think people have got this wrong lynn had left corrie a good bit before that happened to her face, so she wasnt in it anymore then anyway,she just went out of corrie through a storyline of something else.
