The kind of song that brings to mind the West End, The Times and Rolls Royces, it is so classy. Ed Stewart is the man talking near the end. Lynsey was class.
I wush she would still make more, even tho she may be older,,tho i may be older,,great tune,i played this on vinyl over n over again and drove my mother insane with it on n on..but i loved it!water was another gav of mine too! as well as ivory tower!
One classy piece of music much featured on the radio at the time and won an award. Only someone like Lynsey de Paul could make a record like this( well you'd hardly expect Suzi Quatro to make it).
So very beautiful just like Lynsey. I remember her and her music was the soundtrack to my teens. I was thrilled to see that Cheryl Lynn covered 'Love Bomb'.
It has a big beautiful epic orchestral sound but my god please is that Tony Blackburn's voice at the end? Pretty unique song considering you'[d never hear anything like this in the charts today.
@roscoebank I totally agree, this and Ivory Tower are her best recordings. No Honestly was so so, though, but still good because it was you know how. LDP was still cheated out of the Eurovision title as her song was better than the winner.
Lynsey De Paul is the best the female voice that has popped out in all history. Better than Dana, Kate Bush, Karen Carpenter, Barbara Streisand and yes, Shania Twain
