Just got my Tevis and I love them. Anyone who says there is absolutely no bass is either lying or they're using the wrong tips / not fitted properly (admittedly, I had problems getting a good fit with regular buds, until i inserted the tws at a certain angle) . There is bass and it is prominent when called for. Just not basshead type of bass. And, I can use SpinFit CP100 and Symbio tips! Either of them do fit in the casing. Excellent. Only problem is mine had unstable connections. Lypertek is willing to exchange once I send mine back. Great customer service from them.

Lypertek Tevi has much better battery life, better charging case with an indicator led, better IPX rating and are $90 compared to $300!

Have you taken time to use the correct ear tips size? Using the incorrect size will get you “tinny” sounds...

Him Downstairs they have bass for sure. I have the tevis and they have bass, if you really like bass than get a eq app, it'll help a lot.

Google "lypertek tevi beta app" and you'll find the app with eq for tevis. It's quite good.

Tevi's dont need twisting. Just look at the logo on them an insert that way..its more of diagonal than horizontal. B4 i was getting a seal but it was slipping out after few mins. Diagonally my ear grabs the Tevi much better. The mic should be pointing towards ur mouth and not to ur nose like JRR puts them.

Thanks for the review. So far love my Tevi. For the price paid 1/3 of the Sennheiser, it definitely worth it. The balance of the 2/3 can be used on other things cause the difference in the sound isn't 2/3. If the Sennheiser reduce their RP, then it is worth it. At the moment will use the Tevi till the new Google Pixel Buds 2 launch next year. Hope the sound is as good as the other extra function.

This is not a criticism directed at you in particular. Mainly because you are not the first to do a , " which is best " comparison between the Sennheisers and the Tevi's. Obviously something costing one third of the price cannot hope to better it. But what can be fairly asked is, are the Tevi's more than 30 % overall in comparison. If they are then one can fairly say that they are much better value for money. Most of us normal human beings even find 100 a lot to pay, let alone 300! Needless to say until I win the lottery I will be very happy with the Tevi's. Even so thanks for taking the time and effort to compare the two.

@Paull Gillard no problem. I think that people are so accustomed to being sucked into the big brands marketing machine. If they buy something that is cheaper and the latest and greatest, they want to know if they made the right decision. My view is that price doesn't necessarily dictate performance. Many of the big brands can just put a big price on things. Take for example the Apple AirPods, very overrated and overpriced. And yet they have established that brand recognition, and everyone is always asking, how does it compare to the AirPods? If I had a dollar for every time that question came up I would be rich. LOL When in reality there are a ton of earbuds out there that can definitely outperform it for far less. In this case, with the Tevi and Sennheiser, I still think it's a fair comparison. Tevi does perform well, but not enough to beat the Sennheiser. And what is the profit margin on the sennheisers? Does it cost half the price to make it? For me price is just a number, let's look at it for what they are, earbuds, and how they perform.

Momentum is better sound for me but is so close. But I will choose Tevi because of the price and the battery life.

I would love to get the sennheisers, but I have heard so many people say that they have issues with battery drain. It really puts me off. Which is a shame cos I love how good sennheiser products sound. Oh, thanks for a brilliant video. Love your work.

battery drain has now been fixed with the latest update..charged mine fully then left them for 14 days used them today battery still said 100 % ..still have pairing issues with bluetooth always having to unpair them and delete bluetooth data and cache before they will pair again. for this reason i dont use them very much anymore..get fed up taking them out the box and hear that voice say no connection then when you retry connecting you get a voice saying pairing then after a minute another voice saying pairing failed..

Great review again, Brian. There are some very good, affordable tws earbuds out there now but for me comfort and sound are the dominant factors (aside from budget!) and the Sennheiser MTW are on a different level in relation to sound quality - wonderful, natural sound and EQ customisation is a big plus. With foam tips the noise isolation is brilliant and sound even more magical. There's a good reason they are relatively expensive!

I own both and as much as I love the Tevi, sound quality wise there’s really no contest. Sennheiser blows the Tevi (and just about all other TWS earbuds) out of the water. Sennheiser is a music-oriented earbud, the sound is just very immersive and detailed. Vocals however do sound a lot more prominent on the Tevi, whereas in Sennheiser the vocals are an equal part of the song together with the music. If you listen to acoustic songs from a great singer where the vocals are the main focus of the song, the Tevi might be more suitable. But overall sound quality Sennheiser wins hands down, you do get what you pay for.

I've got the Tevi for about 2 months. Those are very good for True Wireless (while they can't beat most good cabled IEM in terms of musicality), but they are far from beeing perfect : they are clearly not the best in terms of connectivity. I sometimes have some quick disconnections, specially when moving in crowded places. I also simply cannot use them on my Garmin Music watch (sound is jerdy). The plastic shell clearly doesn't help on the musicality side, as even if the curve is pretty neutral, which I like, they are never really mindblowing, and sometimes, they sounds cheap (plastic shell or driver, I don't know). In the end, if you only have $100, those are probably the best, unless you like heavy bass (then go with the Sabat e12 Ultra). But if you have more, the Jabra 75t are much more solid, both in term of shell/box quality and connectivity. Believe me, when you buy True Wireless, nothing is more annoying than connectivity issues.

I wish more reviewers can do distance test. All wireless or bluetooth devices should have the distance test with no walls or walls between them. The sound quality of the old wired headphones are still better than the any wireless for the price.

The difference I could hear was the midrange on the Sennheiser was more forward and warm while the tevi sounded a little thin on the midrange

Great review! I was wondering whether to get the tevis or the e12 ultras and I think the ultras would be better for me thanks to your reviews! I already have the sennheiser momentum and it seems that having the tevis would be redundant if not for the batt life and ip rating. Anyway, keep up the good work mate! cheers!

Yeah and it's one of the better quality earbuds in terms of audio. The momentum's are 300$ and should sound better at that price.

Brian you need to review the Monster clarity hd airlinks 2019 edition , after listening to these you will be amazed. Thumpin bass and dynamic soundstage. Definitely will be #1 in your top 5 budget earbuds since these are under $100 . Please try and review. Trust me!

2 questions - I bought the Sennheisers and ultimately sent them back. Yes, they sounded great - after they were eq'd with their app - but they simply were not very loud. Secondly, their call quality was poor. VERY poor. (I was told I sounded like I was in a barrel...). So I am wondering, how do these sound compared to an eq'd Senn where the bass and treble are maxed out since that option doesn't exist here with these and secondly, can anybody comment on the call quality as compared to say the clarity of the Jabra 65t? I'm thinking for a third the price of the Senns, there MUST be compromises somewhere...

Just curious what device are you using this with? As far as volume level, they get really loud for me and no issues at all. I've used it numerous times with phone calls and no issues as well. Have you done the firmware updates?

@@BrianUnboxed Hi Brian (great channel) - I use a galaxy s9. My benchmark is the Jabra 65t. They sound okay, are plenty loud enough and have great call quality. In fact, im told when im using the jabs on a call, its completely undetectable. As clear as a corded landline. So ideally, im looking for that level of call clarity but with audiofile music sound quality as well. The Senns were good without being equalized but GREAT sound afterwards. Then tried some calls and back they went... Maybe the Jabra 75t will be better.... Thanks for asking

I rate the Lypertek TEVI 2/10, the Bose SoundSports TrueWirelesss 7/10, and the Sennheiser Momentum 9/10 in terms of sound quality and pleasure of listening. I still struggle to resell the Tevi at 66% of the price, 2 month after I purchased them. I hate them and I'm not alone.

@@Him__Downstairs give it a try again with the memory foam ear tips. my first impression was exactly the same as you and almost gave them a miss. but still paid for it. it was only until then when i mention abt 3rd party tips that the shop owner took out a pair for me to try. It was day and night!

Sennheiser are garbage. Good sound but the listening time is atrocious. I used them for a week before I sent them back. Also I feel like they are bulky and when you've got glasses on they feel like crap.

@@BrianUnboxed I'm still looking but I'm all conflicted. I got the sennheiser after I lost a one one my sabbat ear buds and thought I'll go all out and get the best sounding ear buds. But they just don't last, as I use wireless earbuds all day as I use them when I drive and have my sat nav play through them. Still trying to figure which one to go for. 🤔
