Believe me everyone, Im a plumber and used Lyra, Pica and OX. Lyra looks the part....but its shit!!! The metal shaft came out when pushing the cap end to extend the lead. I had to use super glue to stick it back to original position. Same happened with the OX...Diference between the 2 is is that I couldnt manage to get the super glue to work on the OX pencil, shaft kept comming out of the body regardless. The Pica is top notch. Amazing pencil. Ive had my 1st Pica pencil for 3 years and still going strong...Cant break it. Only thing is that it falls out of the storage holder easier than when its new. I would never buy any other pencil but the Pica, absolute hands down the best tradie pencil on the market by far.
I hope you will do another review of all those pencils with practical experience after actually using them all. It would also be interesting to know if the leads can be used from different brands, e.g. if leads from Pica fits Ox, Thorvald, etc. and vice versa. If they can be mixed, then it opens some possibilities to buy refills from different brands instead of going with the same one.
where did you buy this at ? im searching amazon but no luck I have pica and ox pencils pica is the best I been using the same pencil for 2 years and I still have 3 new pica pencils waiting to use, sometimes I feel like braking it just to use a new one lol
I bought it from Amazon, think I may have seen them on ebay too. Unless you have a specific use for the torch then I would stick with the Picas that you have waiting in the wings. The quality is great though.
@@ToolReviewsofToolsIUse thanks for your suggestion hey have you seen the new pica fine dry 0.9 mm ? that is my next buy only thing is amazon doesn't sell them right now if you can make a review about that one it will be great anyways thanks for your time and have a great day
@@wilmas15 Another viewer made a mention of the pica 0.9, and it sounds really good. Could be an absolute winner for certain jobs i can think of. Think I've seen those on ebay too, I'll pick one up some time and will be happy to do a review of it. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
The hultafors is so well designed. One thing I've noticed from being able to compare them all is that they all have their own little details that make them advantageous in different situations.
I just picked up the Pica 0.9mm lead and absolutely love it, never need sharpening. I also prefer the fit and finish of the Pica when it slides in the holster over the OX and Hultafors.
