Amazed at some of the comments below. See if this helps: The piece of music is an adaptation of Pachelbel's Canon in D, transposed into C and simplified to suit this instrument. The chords are a continuously repeated loop around C G Am Em F C F G. Just keep repeating that chord sequence. Of course, you have to be musician enough to start in the right place and play in tempo. Which brings us to "tabs". To all the people asking for "tabs" - use your ears. They're your most valuable piece of musical equipment. Then practise. A lot. Over and over, just like she did, until you can play it. Then you will have learned something about musicality. And to all the people asking for other stuff: do your own damn research! Where to get one, tuning, how to hold it, all that - Google has the answers. She's already done her bit by spending hours learning to play and posting the video. Asking for more from her is plain bad manners. Thank you. Rant over. Now enjoy the music. I did.
I build them. Never a 16 string. Usually 6-8 or 10 string. I'm building a 3 string bowed lyre presently. Wonderful instruments. With a very beautiful sounds. Tuning can vary. ✌
I bought exactly this lyre, but I couldn’t find any class in Toronto, even any tutorials for dummies anywhere, so I returned it and got a Kalimba. At least there are tutorials to learn Kalimba.
Hi! This was really beautiful! Are you able to link or show the music sheet for this piece, I have the exact same harp as you and it's really hard to find any songs to play with it. Thank you in advance :)
Jr Palomar Thank you! Where can I get a chord chart for my 16 string lyre? Without a chart, I don’t know what strings make up a chord. Thanks once again for your help.
Heyy! that lyre is amazing, sounds very beautiful, could you please play mime's requiem, orpheus theme and abel harp on the lyre??...by the way, where can i buy one lyre similar to that? Thanks in advance.
I am sure you have already figured this out since this comment is a bit old, but when you have a new lyre with metal strings you will need to return it until the strings settle. It should be settled now if you have continued to keep it in tune. Unless it is an issue with the pegs.
