@@Anonymous-mn3td No, you see, they don't! That's why when the lyrebird is mimicking the kookaburra, it says it isn't using sunblock, because it helps make it more believable, of course. @Edriss Scofield Ahaha, yeah, the bird's probably thinking those people were idiots for walking around in Aus without sun protection.

We had one near our property, which had a very unique creaking gate that could be heard for miles, we wouldn't lubricate it on purpose as it was a great way to let us know someone was coming or going, at all hours. We then had a lyrebird that decided to make our property it's home. Within a week, we had lubricated the gate.

This is adorable. To all that think it's fake, when Lyrebirds hear a sound, they can mimic it, and it can be passed down through generations of birds, as an important call, or unimportant. It's obvious that this Lyrebird has heard somebody say "No sunblock." before. Lyrebirds pick up and learn words much faster then Parrots, but both can mimic calls. I'm probably going to get attacked for this, but yall know the truth. Lyrebirds are cool, I think we all should learn more about them in their majestic beauty and smarts... ^^

Aren't these the birds that started using chainsaw noises as mating calls?
@TheAce12570
@TheAce12570 4 года назад
@@galvanizeddreamer2051 well, kinda but not really. Lyrebirds incorporate all the different sounds they hear into their mating calls. If the bird is living in a remote part of the jungle, that's just different animal noises, mainly other birds. But if a Lyrebird lives close to human civilization, as this one does, then it will also incorporate sounds they hear from us into their mating calls. And yes, that includes chainsaws from nearby woodcutters. If one lived in Italy, it would probably mention pasta a lot.
