This Lyrec Fred is mostly in its stock condition, just modified to have a pair of RCA outputs. It is small and light, feels like a briefcase with a phone book in it, yet it can use 12" reels.
Crazily compact unit. If a company were to start producing new open reel decks, I imagine they'd look something like this. Why do the tape path markings on this deck show the tape trailing off into the lower-right hand corner? Is it meant to be used for spooling onto another machine or something?
