We always get the cream of the crop in your series of tributes. That's what we get here, and I am sure we will get more of it in subsequent uploads under this eagerly-awaited series .Thanks, Mirzaji.
Thanks for reminding us of the wonderful lyricists. My two favorites from your list are the Footpath and Ladli songs, and I admit I struggle to remember the lyricists of these great songs. The music directors are much more easily remembered. Of your list, D.N. Madhok and Indivar penned many hits, so are relatively better known today.
Mirzaji, Assad Bhopali penned another immortal song in "APNA BANAKE DEKHO" sung by the legendary. Rafi sahib. "RAAZ E DIL KI CHUPPAYA NA GAYA, EKSHOLA BHI DABA YA NA GAYA. Please listen to that song
I have always held the lyricists in high esteem and have profound regard for their contribution. Lyricists along with music directors are integral part of songs, the singers further complementing by playing their role. In this connection you have done admirable job. Please let know if you have further parts uploaded (pertaining to lyricists). Thank you for nice presentation.
The lyricist of Pardesi song "Rasiya Re Man Basiya Re" sung by Meena Kapoor is Prem Dhawan, according to many websites. Some jointly credit Dhawan and Jafri.
