a lot of people think this song was for moonbin, but it’s for seungkwan when he was grieving. when you really look at the lyrics you realize that woozi thought of seungkwan for every lyric he wrote. from when seungkwan first starts singing, “don’t hate yourself. you know it was a good choice, you were hurting so much but couldn’t even talk about it. suffering alone.”, basically that he shouldn’t hate himself from taking a break bc it was a good choice too, and that he was suffering alone because he couldn’t even stand to talk about it. “there’s no way i didn’t know, because you’re my breath. don’t be sorry. it’s just like a yawn that came because of shortage of breath.” there’s was no way that woozi didn’t know about sk suffering alone, and sk shouldn’t be sorry for wanting to take a hiatus. sk taking a hiatus is js like a yawn, it came bc a shortage of breath but it went away bc he no longer has a shortage of breath, or in this case sk took a hiatus to grieve and came back. yk when you yawn and then other people around you yawn too. it’s like that, sk was suffering alone but everyone else began to suffer bc he was suffering. it’s like being in pain bc someone you love is also in pain.

woozi is just such a genius! like how he used Dust (from FML) to talk about lingering feelings to now using Yawn (hapeum) when what he means really is pain (apeum). and the parallels about yawning due to lack of oxygen/shortness of breath and being in pain for losing a/your reason for breathing 😭😭😭
