I completely agree with you on the marketing claims made by “ clean beauty brands”. It is not a priority. But if a black owned brand is making a quality product that is clean with skincare ingredients ( I also rely on my own skincare) but I am happy to support this incredible effort. I will definitely try the foundation if I can find my shade. And btw, the triangle shape was chosen for the spiritual meaning of the triangle- heal,motivate and inspire. Blessings Alicia. I would never be interested in this brand, just because there are so many brands that I feel overwhelmed and just buy from the same ones. But because of your reviews I am now very interested in this brand and in other that you introduced on your channel. Also I always wait for your reviews to make up my mind.
Only the foundation and lipgloss is live on Sephora Canada. All the other products are not available yet. I pick up the foundation in DG6. It seem to oxidize a bit on my. I think I may pick up a more neutral shade. I can not wait to get the blushes. I know I want at least 3 of them. They are gorgeous on you. Thanks for a great review.
I LOVE that you tried all those bronzer and blush shades. I wish more RU-vidrs would do that. I would love to see all of the bronzers and blushes on a skin tone like my own. It was super helpful to see them on your skin tone. ♥️

Good to know about the box from the LYS site. Fwiw I paid $4 extra for a gift box from items I purchased on the Rose inc site and I love it. Makes a nice box to organize makeup. I love the LYS serum foundation and I’m considering their concealer now, too.
It's such a good idea to have a light coverage/glowy foundation in a big shade range. It's about time! I'm so impressed with the price point and packaging for this brand. When I finish my current foundation, I'm going to check them out.
Omg I think I’m definitely going to be going back to LYS over and over. The blushes in this video were the prettiest blush shade’s I’ve ever seen, especially for my medium/Tan skin tone. I love how pigmented their products are and I feel like you get such a good amount of great quality product for great prices. I’m definitely buying all three of those blushes. Confident was definitely my favorite. But I adored them all. I already ordered their cream bronzer stick in Tan and I can’t wait to receive it.

I really like this review. i was on a no buy for the remainder of February but after this i purchased two foundations TN6 & TN3 (to see which one is better), setting powder and a bronzer. The blushes are mostly out of stock on Sephora and LYS. I can't wait to try them.
I always appreciate how thorough you are in your 1st impressions/product review videos. I am just getting into cream makeup and really interested in cream blushes. I have just added the LYS blush in Confident onto my list of cream blushes I’m interested in. I also love the idea of supporting a black-owned clean beauty brand. No matter how many blushes I have (my favorite beauty product) you always make me want to buy more. These colors all looked so good on you...so soft and like a water color but not lost on your face.
You do the most in depth reviews and I appreciate that I grabbed everything from this line except the primer saw some bad reviews on it and the gloss I skipped but got 2 blushes and 1 of everything else! Can’t wait to get them!

I really like all three of those blushes and the "peach nude" shade you mentioned probably has my future attention. That coral terracotta tho. I enjoy cream blushes in general and I'd love a cream blush dedicated video. As you know, bronzer videos are *always* welcome. I like the look of those LYS bronzers too. The middle one could work in the Summer, the other two look like they have good tones for me. They are really pretty components and the price point seems more than reasonable. You know we'll spend some money but it's nice when someone gives us a break once in a while. Please show us some shots of the world outside your place. Is it a Winter Wonderland or a frozen slush nightmare from Hell?

Hi Alicia. Can you do a video on your most used or everyday items? You have an extensive collection and I am just wondering what you actually use on a daily basis. Also, as an influencer who has to try a lot of product do you pass off the overflow to friends and family or shelters, or do you keep a lot of stuff for demo/comparison purposes (like you did in this video)?
I ordered several blushes and a bronzer from the brand but nothing has arrived. Texas!!!!!! So I am waiting for 3 orders that are from the 12th & 19th. 🥲 and now Sephora is out of this brand and the Westman Atillia and so many others that I am dipping my toes into. Alicia!! I love your reviews! I actually asked Tisha personally which option benefited them more as a brand: either buying from their page or Sephora and she said Sephora!! Because that way Sephora sees it as an indicator to maintain Black owned brands in their shelf/online stores and to encourage them to curate more!!!
Heyyy, I took a leap and made an order on the LYS website this morning. I'm so glad I held off on the Tower 28 creams (even though I said I was gonna leave cream blushes alone because they aren't my jam lol) b/c this coral shade is everything. A few of the cream blush shades are sold out on Sephora so that's why I went to the brand's site and I also got the mauve shade to go with my everyday looks. I snatched up the foundation too because watching another youtuber who is my shade match made me pretty confident in choosing online. I'm pretty excited to try everything and I love that the prices are so reasonable b/c I need a break lol.

Just added another blush color to my list. I am excited to try this line, just trying to figure out a good foundation color for olive/yellow undertones. Also hearing LE is coming out with new lipsticks and possibly a blush maybe in May? Have to save just in case.
Yes! I bought TG1 and TN3 because it’s hard to choose shades online and I’m so happy TN3 works for you because that means it works for me too! I might have to pick up that harmony bronzer shade though!!
When I ordered the bronzer I got the lightest shade as it reminded me of CT medium too. I'm light medium neutral border cool and more towards the light side. I'm so glad you compared them bc I know I made the right choice! As always these product review videos are stellar!
Even though my skin is normal to dry (leaning more dry) and the kaolin scared me for a bit. Seeing it on your face *gets wallet* And that color *gets card* Let us just say I have a few things sitting comfortably in my cart.

That box is beautiful! I don’t think it’s silly to save boxes! I reuse big, sturdy ones and upcycle the smaller ones with cool designs and patterns (for crafts with kids, homemade cards, mixed media)
Really appreciate your swatches and comparisons at the end!! I would prefer a brand not just marketing based on race but its quality, inclusivity and corporate social responsibility. Its more diverse and easier to get attention across the board than being boxed in. Just my opinion.

I can deal with the Kaolin lower on the deck on an affordable clean blush than a luxury clean blush. I don't think it has a skincare benefit, I think it's for texture and grip without silicone. And I prefer it to silicone in a cream blush because I want my cream blush to last (I'm on team silicone, just not in blush). I don't mind that the plant extracts aren't in the top 5, honestly I would be worried if they were, because, like baking bread, I don't want more cinnamon than flour. I get the niacinamide, but BE CAREFUL I use a strong niacinamide serum in the AM because of it's effect on Vit C, because I have the lupus butterfly across my face and everything in AM is brightening and evening because I have so much red hyperpigmentation, but stray niacinamide in moisturizer, foundation, makeup can really irritate my skin (same with C, same with hylauronic acid). I don't like actives in my makeup (I don't like them in primer/sunscreen/moisturizer) because they add up. But if you aren't using heavy actives, then yay, a little extra bright and fade. But I really don't understand how actives in makeup means clean, but who knows what clean means. Literally. WHO KNOWS. But anyway, I'm intrigued and I love the packaging.

Did the cream blushes make you break out? I know that they contain avocado oil which can clog pores, so I am concerned that they will make me break out (especially when combined with a mask 😷).
