It’s been a couple months since my last trip. Every weekend since Halloween seemed to have an event going on almost every day, especially on the weekends. I finally had some time to get away and do an overnight trip with some friends up to Lytle Creek which is local to us. We took 3N06A up past Cold Water Canyon to camp at Cone Camp Yellow Post 19 for the night. The trail was really rutted out but was super fun to wheel in. Temperatures got down to the high 30’s to low 40’s being up at the top of the peak at around 6200 feet in elevation. The winds gusted up to 15-20 miles per hour so i didn’t record much after dinner. We stayed toasty inside my new 8’x8’ Free Spirit Hub Tent V2 with the Kovea butane heaters and the Firecan propane fire pit on. We lounged around and cooked food, smoke cigars, drank whiskey and seltzers and had great conversations over the campfire. Kenneth from Simple Fabrication brought his Toyota Tundra out to dial in his new long travel suspension which I didn’t record because I passed out. 🤣 His buddy Kumar who’s a Firefighter brought his Dog out to play as well.
