Lzzy Hale & Skid Row: Where Does This Leave Sebastian Bach? 

Seen Skid Row on tour with GnR (1991). Both Sebastian and Axle lived up to their personalities, what more can I say.

I haven't seen Skid Row in a while but went looking for tour dates once I saw Lzzy on stage with them. I like Halestorm but she sings these songs great!

Lzzy is a beast

Halestorm is going out on tour with Evanescence this summer. Halestorm has a big following. I definitely want Bach back in Skid Row, but I would love a Skid Row album and tour with Lzzy Hale as well.

His voice has aged better than his face. I'll say that for Bach. Anybody expecting that combination of charisma and vocals from the old days hasn't seen him play lately.

I agree Lizzy sounds great with the band, I also agree that the new Sebastian Bach album is really good!🤘...Future Of Youth and To Live Again are my favorites but pretty much the whole album kicks ass! The only thing on the episode I disagree with is, I really liked Skid Row's new album The Gang's All Here but hey too each their own and as always I really enjoyed the episode!

Skid Row have had so many singers do they need a permanent one if they dont want Bach back? Just have guest singers. They make Spinal Tap look like a serious group!

When I 1st heard the news that Lizzy was going to be fronting Skid Row I was like STFU but after looking at the concert footage and I'm like holy crap she looks and sounds amazing!! Humble pie indeed. Lizzy sounds very similar to early Bach, Make a new album with her NOW!!!

There has been talk of Mötley Crüe and Guns N` Roses touring, this talk was directly from Tommy, Nikki and John 5 in a video interview done in just the last week or so. Nothing is set in stone and they were obviously trying to play it down, but also talked about how cool and awesome it would be for it to happen. If that tour was to happen, that would be the perfect spot for a reunited Skid Row. But me personally would love to see Skid Row move forward with Lizzy. I think she fills those shoes more than perfectly and there's no reason she would have to give up Halestorm to be in Skid Row. I don't even know why Halestorm fans act like if she joined Skid Row it would end Halestorm. Must be cause they see how awesome she is with Skid Row and how happy she is doing it.

Lzzy does a great job with the Skid Row songs. The best since Baz. That said, my one issue is that it feels like she’s trying to sound like Baz. Only Baz can do Baz. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to hearing these songs with him. You got the pipes girl, do your own thing! Would love to hear some new Skid Row music with her…

Lzzy is going to front the band longer than 4 shows don’t see her leaving her band but I have no doubt she will play some more dates with the skids. I’ve seen Halestorm and they were awesome.They brought in just over 5 thousand people and that was 6 years ago damn brother you need to check out the Halestorm albums. She’s so good. I grew up with the hair band scene and was and still am a huge fan but I became a big fan of Halestorm back in 2009 with their official debut and they are so good. I would love to see Lzzy front the band as long as she’s able to. Not sure how she can do it forever being she has her own band and she could burn out her voice but if she could do it I’m all in

Someone needs to offer them big bucks to tour together. Big enough that they can't refuse it. Always felt that they should have been on the Motley Crue stadium tour. But in the meantime, would love to see Lzzy play with them. Saw Sebastian a few days ago. Part comedy show, part rock show. His brother was also in the audience.

I could see her do some festivals with them there was talk of her doing a solo record B4 another Halestorm record. I liked Skid Row 30 years ago haven't since Bach left. I've been listening to Halestorm since their debut record about 15 to 18 years years ago.Ive seen them live a couple times and she always kicks ass.

Halestorm is a headlining act, doing anywhere from 7500 to 15000 capacity venues, that live album was at Wembley Arena in London, I was at the first show in IL at Walkers Bluff Casino, I've known Lzzy for 15 years and I made the trek to surprise her so she could finally meet my 6 year old daughter I named after her. She has already gone on record by saying she'd do both bands if the Skids asked her to be the permanent singer. She absolutely crushed it. I KNEW she would, it's the whole reason I went, if it's only the 4 shows, I got to see something that will go down in history as one of the best Skid Row shows ever, and let the die hards hate all that they want, because you may not find a better singer to hit any of those notes on the planet. I hope this lands them on the MORC that sails in March, hell I told her that much after the show. 1st off...Where did you get the Sleeze Beez shirt ?? 🆒️ Ok then. Another great watch Guru. Lzzy is a phenomenal singer, but she is not Skid Row. Give "I Get Off" or "I Miss the Misery" a listen & you'll hear that she is 100% Halestorm. She has always stated that Skid Row were her hero's & a huge inspiration to her, she has to be living a dream with this gig. Good for her. You both nailed it with the window closing for a Bach reunion tho. Thanx for another great episode Anthony !!

Skid needs Lizzy a helluva lot more than Lizzy needs Skid, so I think for her it's a chance for her to live out some childhood dreams not a career move. Halestorm is still a relevant modern hard rock/metal band and Lizzy is pretty much Queen of the Scene right now. So I wouldn't expect to hear that she is the permanent replacement singer for Skid Row. Skid Row's only chance to make any sort of splash again is to reunite with Bas. He is, was, and always will be a handful but if they wanna continue they'll figure it out.

Lizzy has a great Voice but Baz is distinct and sings those songs like no one else can !! That's the Facts !

Lzzy is good but she's leaning way too heavily into the fry screaming for me. I miss those clean high notes.

I saw Skid Row at least a dozen times with Johnny Solinger and they were always great. I was sad when they split.

I saw the Skids with Bach 2 times. Once when they opened for Guns N Roses (right before Use Your Illusions came out) in Philadelphia, PA. Skid Row destroyed GNR that night. Bach blew our minds. Then I saw Skids headline in Philadelphia, PA with Pantera opening and Pantera crushed them…badly. Skids with Bach today? Nah. Don’t care. Don’t care about the nostalgia. There is no going out on top in this reunion. It won’t touch the old days and I’m not interested in watching guys doing this just for a paycheck. Lizzy and Skids? Much cooler IMHO. The people on stage want to be there and the vocals are incredible. Solo Bach is great. I’d pay to see that. Bach is in his element and he does his thing without being on a leash or payroll. I’m 48 years old and been to over 700 concerts. MANY MANY rock shows under my belt. I don’t feel a Skid Row Bach reunion is worth my money and time going to the show. And I highly doubt it would sell a massive amount of tickets.

Lzzy has done such a great job with Skid Row so far the band is in a tight spot. Make her permanent or get Sebastian back in there. Anybody else other than these two at this point, it's just not going to work. I never thought I'd say this but I'd rather see Lzzy now rather than Bas.

The only time Skid Row has actually felt like and sounded like Skid Row since Baz was gone has been Erik! Aside FROM. Erik, Skid Row has always felt like a tribute band to me. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Halestorm sold out Wembley arena which has a capacity of 12.5k. however, I think Lzzy is so good for Skid Row I'd snap tickets up to see them. I have been privileged to see Skid Row in 1991 with Bach, 2018 with ZP, both were brilliant. But Lzzy is the mutts nuts.

The original Skid Row was from 1987 to 1996 after that it was over kind of like when GNR broke up it was over they can call themselves Skid Row but no who truly remembers any hits Skid Row did after Sebastian got kicked out of the band? Skid Row just a cover band of themselves crazy the fans deserve a reunion if Kiss, GNR, and Van Halen reuniting with David Lee Roth they can reunite why not the Real Skid Row

OK Lzzy did Quicksand Jesus quite well and could hit the high notes that this song demands, but it still not holds the same standard as Erik or young Sebastian. Here voice are more raw power than clear and crisp like Erik and the younger version of Bach (where the later two leaning more towards Rob Halfords high pitch screams). Lzzy Hale's voice is more raspy like taking a young Sebastian mixed with Axl Rose along with the older version of Sebastian.

Halestorm just played Wimbly

She can't do her own band and Skid Row permanently. She does great with Skid Row, but Halestorm is her band. It seems to that while Skid Row is the bigger name obviously, but in today's rock world, Halestorm is the bigger band.

Shes a better singer and has way better stage presence

It all just goes to show that Seb is pretty much irreplaceable that Skid Row have spent the last couple of decades trying to find a singer to match him in talent and ability to hold a crowd. He's one of those frontmen you can only describe as 'iconic'

I preffer Sebastian adding another guitar player to his current band and Rob Afusso on drums, fuck Sabo and Bolan ; they are what they are cause Bach; not even Lizzy wolud made the band like Sebastian did.

I'm gonna be honest in my own opinion. Bach is not the Bach people want to think he is or was. Lizzy to m.. not a big fan to be honest. She sings these songs alright but more growly than what they need to be. out of the singers they had since Bach, Erik for me was the best and its sad he had to step aside due to his health. SR has just had bad luck with singers. People want to blame Rachel etc. but really Bach was the biggest problem of all them. Johnny went 16 years with them and left to focus on his solo stuff, Tony got let go so he could get help to fight his alcoholism, ZP left cause he didn't want to do all the touring SR was setting up to do and didn't want to do the album and Erik he had no choice his immune system wasn't rebuilding with the constant touring. And Lizzy this is just a temp deal, she's making way to more money with Hailstorm, she's just helping out some friends finish their commitments of like 4 shows. I don't know what the future of SR is gonna be, I was really hoping Erik would be able to get better and be that future. So who knows. I just don't know how much of future those guys are 60 years old now. I was hoping Erik would give them at least another 5-7 years.. but having to start all over again with a new singer. I don't know.

most folks want bach back…but the time to make money with bach has come and gone. if it is revenue driven, then the best way to make the most money is with bach. if it is happiness drive , then bach won’t be coming bach, as he is very hard to deal with. if you have seen a lit if his appearances in tv, it is a small glimpse into how hard he is to work with, and be around. the issues that are between bach and skid row’s core members revolve around songwriting credits, bach’s lifestyle, and his mouth…which even through his current tour, still throw constant jabs at skid row. until he mutes all of that, puts it behind him, and focuses on himself, will keep a reunion from happening. they had issues all the way back to the bottle incident, making him pay and tour for his own bus on the slave tour, and nearly breaking up mid-tour in japan during the subhuman tour. this was off the rails during the height of their fame….so a totally broken machine for rachel and snake doesn’t make a lot of sense, despite how much fun it would be for fans. can’t say as i blame them. he is still a handful, and i don’t see why nearly 60 year old men would put themselves in the position to deal with it.

I know everyone is super woke these days but imma keep it 💯. Skid Row is not “Skid Row” with a female singer. Her voice isn’t strong enough to carry the tunes. She has a great, strong voice, for a woman. But not for this band. Bottom line, get the man back, or keep playing county fairs or pool halls.

Here's the thing. Rachel and Snake have both vehemently praised Bas' voice and have said that he is an amazing frontman. You think that would be a foundation for a reunion, but Mr. Bach is a douche canoe who is impossible to be around. Remember Evan Seinfeld on the Damnocracy show? He wanted to murder the guy. There is no amount of money or reliving old glories that would make it worth doing it for any of the other members outside of maybe Rob Affuso who is basically unemployed as drummer now. I've been in bands with people that made me hate my life's passion and I am glad there will be no cash grab reunion, I am also glad Snake and Rachel can look at themselves in the mirror everyday without shame because they choose integrity. Side note, Subhuman Race is the best Skid Row album not called Slave to the Grind..... and you call yourself Guru? This is the first of the videos on your channel I have seen, I do a deep dive and see what turns up. You better have some Tyketto, McQueen Street, Asphalt Ballet, White Trash, Junkyard, Salty Dog, Broken Teeth, Love/Hate, and Lillian Axe on here or we gonna have to chat about them credentials.

She doesn’t sound as good as Erik let alone Bach

It leaves Granny right where he's always been...out of Skid Row. No matter who is singing for the band. No one wants to see that bloated has-been front Skid Row sounding like a pirate choking on a chicken bone.

I do not think they will ever let him back in the band. Lizzy has been great, yet it sort of reminds me of Dalana when she sang for LA Guns, it is just odd and kind of corny. They sound good, Hope they find someone who can do it right, maybe even get a John COrabi type of singer and change it up.

It would be cool to see Skid Row with Sabastian for the nostalgia, but let's be real: he's not the vocalist he once was. If I wanted to see Skid Row with a vocalist that can actually do the songs justice I'd have to go with Lzzy all the way; this woman is a phenomenal, kick-ass singer. It's like the whole Journey thing: sure, it would be cool to see Steve with them, but Arnell just shits all over him vocally these days. Age tends to do that to a person's vocals----granted, there's freaks like Rob Halford who can still go at an advanced age, but they're few and far between.
