As an Inkwell Press user who is disappointed with what they've done to the Classic layout for this year, I think this planner will be what I switch to! From what I can see they are really comparable. :)

I already decided to try Powersheets for 2020, and I think I still prefer Powersheets for overall life goal-setting. I like how it goes deeper, and that you check the tending list every single day. I don't want to feel pressured to meet new goals every single week in my overall life. However, I can see using the Makse as a work/career-only planner. I'd just re-title every goal category to a work-related goal, like networking outside my company, completing training modules, etc. Then using the horizontal layout as a kind of daily work diary of what went on that day.

I really appreciate you sharing the "why" PowerSheets will work better for you. I think that is a really good point. And I like your idea of how MäksēLife can be made into a work Goals planner. Thank you for the wonderful review, Amanda! I have to say, the more I see of this planner, the more it pulls me in. I am very seriously considering making this my planner for 2020. I did already buy PowerSheets, but I absolutely love how MakseLife integrates everything together and really allows your goals to become part of your week, and not just a seperate thing that you try to work in. You know I love my ECLP, but the MakseLife has everything that I always wanted EC to have, but it didn't. At this point, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be giving this one a try for 2020. Thank you again for your review! It really helped!! 🤗💕

Great review! I loved Inkwell Planner but could never really get into their goal planning system. This one seems like the perfect system for me and I'm so excited to try it.

Thank you so much for this, Amanda! I couldn't get past the set up in PowerSheets this year and got really overwhelmed with the process... but this set up appeals to me. I really need a goal planner, I just don't know if I am ready to leave my Life Planner! I love Sierra and she has been inspiring to me for a long time. I really appreciate your detail and also love that you gave her planner debut such great exposure.

Thanks for sharing your experience with PowerSheets and your feelings on MäksēLife. I understand not wanting to leave the EC planner. That's why I am on the edge with trying out the horizontal to carry my goals through and journaling more in the horizontal.....about goals progress, reflection, sticking points.....we shall see what I end up doing. the first few months of the year will probably be to experiment:) I will defiantly keep ya'll updated on Instagram;)

I have found my 2020 planner!! Thank you so much for this video - wonderful, detailed review. I've been using Kitlife, but didn't really like the design changes for the new year. So I wanted a planner similar in size, hardcover, quarterly check-ins, vertical. I have always glossed over goal planners because they seemed to be too much and just not what I wanted. However in your review, I like this set up. Listening to you explain the MakseLife goal setting prep, I realized it is simple and straightforward. The monthly and weekly goal points, is what I truly need to remind me how I am supposed to be completing my quarterly goals that often I would only achieve 1 out of 3 for example.

So happy to see you review and compare. I too am excited to see where this company goes in the future. For next year, I’m going with Powersheets as I don’t like systems that set the goal categories for me like Makeslife does. I love how Powersheets lets me determine my “Big 8” (as I call them). I use a Hobonichi Weeks for my weekly planner as I’m on the go so much, so the Powersheets works well with that combo.

I understand that goal category issue you have. Although PowerSheets does ask you to rate those big 8 areas of your life...you are right that your goals could all center in 4 areas:) I get it, and I do like that flexibility too. I honestly didn't think of this point when filming the video....and I wish I would have. Thanks Amber:)

This planner intrigues me and almost sways me to get it, more so than power sheets. What I'd like to see is a planner more systems-based rather than goals-based. It's kinda the same thing but kinda not. Don't know if it even exists.

Awesome review as always! I've been so curious about this planner. It looks really interesting. Goal systems intimidate me. But there's something about this system that makes me feel like I could do it and stick with it. I'm a vertical girl at heart but I'm really liking the horizontal. We'll see if I end up getting one.

they should have made the life compass wheel lighter colours so that you can "actually" shade them in, they're too dark!

Great video! I really like the goal part of this and the colors are beautiful! I would definitely try this, but the lack of color on the weekly agenda part makes it a no-go for me- I'm super disappointed because the rest of the planner looks good. I must be the only person that doesn't like all white planner pages....Other than that, it looks promising. Thanks again for a thoughtful, detailed video!

This planner is really tempting me. I have my 2020 ECLP personalized and in my cart waiting for black Friday, but this one makes me reconsider. I think I might still stick with the ECLP but use the MakseLife goal planning system. I watched Sierra's video and (I think) she mentioned having the goal planning portion available eventually on her website to print off. So I might do a hybrid.

Thank you. I came across your channel and started planning and looking at setting goals. This review has me sold that this might be the answer. I went to order but im from Australia and am waiting to hear if they will ship to me fingers crossed. Its a real problem here that we do not have access to the range you guys do and the exchange rate and shipping rates make it a problem. I have found one here Whistle and Birch (vertical) which are fab and am waiting for delivery. I would also love the EC on the go. Have to agree with you re the vertical for this planner and using it for journal. It seems that one planner is not enough. Ive fallen down the rabbit hole. Thank you - very thorough and thoughtful reviews. xo

Amanda, I am looking to get better org. in 2020. I am a computer nerd, runner, home improvement, grandkid loving grandpa. I am looking at Unbound or Ink+volt. I have watched a lot of your videos. Question to you if you were going to give advice to a first time planner/goal setting person, knowing I am going to buy Unbound or Ink+volt which would you recommend? I will be using it for home projects, computer work (professional) church, health and training and possibly start journaling for life history. Loaded question eh? Unbound or Ink+volt?
