Hi, Mike. You know what the funny thing is? In the video you watched, Damiano was 17, Vic was almost 16, Ethan was 15 and Thomas was not yet 15. They haven't done it in public since then, until last night, at Madison Square Garden. Always acoustic. It's full of videos on YT. I recommend you go and see the differences.
As teens they covered a song by one of the best artist over these last decades, live, just two guitars, a cajon and Damiano's raspy voice, on a balcony.... That's pure talent to me. Welcome to the Maneskin family! You've become one of my favourite reactors with just a couple of videos, liked and subscribed!
Awww that's fun 😊 they just covered that song again last night at Madison square garden❤ here I think damiano was 17, vic and Ethan 16 and Thomas 15 years old ! I love watch you watch😅😂 and they had lots of hate lately coz the new York times Said they were the last rock band but egos have been hurt 😂 daughters of famous rocker etc spread hate and made fun of them so damiano said that if they couldn't be smart enough to understand that they didn't wrote the article snd that's not even what they think..those people are idiots😅 so he said if we can't be the last rock band let's be the first rap band 😁and they did "humble "by kendrick lamar it was great!!!!
Keep in mind about the production. Think this was even before they went on Xfactor. So they are literally just a bunch of kids shooting some videos of them playing together on the balcony of Vic's Dad's place.
My absolute favourite cover by them, before amandotti and kiss this. Fun fact: Victoria founded the band with Thomas. They were all school friends and Damiano offered to be a singer but was REJECTED by her at first. Only when the other singers were bad and D asked again was he accepted!!!
Dam and vic had a band before maneskin then split up. He was not accepted bec the others were bad, like seriously? He said he wasnt that serious about singing since he also played basketball. Then when he really decided to do music he came back.
@@danyelena9782 Dam AND Vic said this in several interviews!!!!Vic also said there are videos of the bad singers, but they thank God it's well hidden! Seem, you haven`t seen many of their earliest interview videos!!!
I am so thrilled to hear your reaction to them, they have a lot of haters in Italy (explains some lyrics in their Italian songs) which breaks my heart and it is nice they are appreciated by the USA audience. Many of those haters try to claim the band was "manufactured" somehow, but these early videos and the behind the scenes prove that is beyond belief.
I have recorded one for Baby Said in Paris already. Just waiting for it to clear copyright. Should be visible within a few days! spoiler alert, I loved it.
They just performed this at Madison Square Garden a few days ago. Definitely worth a watch to compare!! (Though it's a fan video.) It was an acoustic version with Thomas and Damiano only.
Thx. The production is poor, because they were poor at the time. The photographer was payed in coins from busking. This was like a week before they joined X factor Italy. You should see "Beggin" from that, they killed it being 16 to 18 years old. Peace.
Not to sound obsessed for being at every single one of your videos, I just like to listen to videos while I work during the week and yours are always fun. lol Love that you're doing their acoustic stuff too, though. Apparently, they recorded it at a balcony it in one of their parent's house. They were super young, and mostly still playing on the streets at the time, so there's very little production. I love how raw it is though. I think they were 15-17 here. This is especially cool because they revisited this cover last night at Madison Square Garden, and it's amazing to see how much better they got since then, especially Damiano. And he was already impressive here. All videos from fans at the concert, so the sound isn't the best, but it's fun to see just for the comparison.
They were teen agers here I believe Damiano which is the oldest was 16 o17.. .Thomas was 14 and they were playing on Victoria's home rooftop... the instrumentation was the one they use to bask on the streets of Rome production was nonexistent...
Just found yr channel today why? You've been reacting to my new favorite rock band: Maneskin .. I've been with them for a couple yrs now and when they did this and wrote the rock ballads like Coraline, they were still in highschool! Bass, Victoria De Angelis (co founder) Guitar, Thomas Raggi (co founder w Vic) Drums, Ethan Torchio Voice & main lyricist (Yes, they write mist of their own stuff), Damiano David. He shares a Jan-8th bday with both Elvis and David Bowie. What I have to say Mike, is that all you're saying now abt how their sound will rescue and revive rock n roll, I've been saying it too foe the last two yrs. They did a great set at the Roxi (on YT), they were also invited to do an opening for the Stones and asked by Jagger himself, at a football arena show (also on YT and did they kill on both occasions? Fuck YES!). Before they won Eurovision in 2021 with Zitti e Buoni, they'd been touring in Europe for yrs and they also came in 2nd in the X factor Italia in 2017, the moment they had to choose a band name, and since Vic is half Dutch, they chose the Dutch word for "moonlight:". Maneskin. KOOL, huh? Liking yr reactions thus far. Rock on, 😁🤘 Aszneth (FL)
hi mike, what is your opinion on the covers thay made in every country on the tour, in my country, Chile, they covered mon laferte "tu falta de querer", people loved it. in Argentina, they made soda stereo, in dublin, U2.
