Yes, it was much better without all that stuff, but this is the best we have now on RU-vid. I managed to watch it on the Rai (Italian) channel a day or so after the show, but then it disappeared. The unaltered video is currently posted on another website and I watch it there every now and then.
As I said when you reacted to the other performance, this performance is legendary and i watch it at least once a day. The emotion Damiano shows is incredible that he could sing through that. You can see he turns away not to cry several times and it is a shame the end is cut off, but he does breakdown a bit in the arms of the host Amadeus at the end. They were not competing in this Sanremo they were returning as the previous champion guests after winning Eurovision as well. Thanks for doing this performance also.
Thx. Lou. The most emotional performance of their best song. The theme is the self destruction of a girl, bad society. For the band is was home, sweet home (returning to Italy). Peace.
Lol you're going to get the Italians at you for comparing Sanremo to the Voice ;-) Sanremo is more like if the us had a yearly event celebrating American music with artists like Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo , with all of them presenting a brand new song, competing against one another for their song to win. With all the radio stations and tv stations treating it like the Superbowl. That's what Sanremo is for Italy
I came to comment this. People don't stay up until 1:00-2:30am 5 nights in a row to watch "The Voice". Sanremo has a 74 year history with many famous artists competing for the best song and performing. It is more like a real time Grammy award for best song of the year.
The performance is amazing! The song is a deep, dark and emotional masterpiece. Damiano is completely engrossed in the emotions. Love the orchestra with the band, and everybody giving 110%. I don’t like the video editing at all, way too many cuts for a song that is meant to be experienced without distraction.
Thank you for this reaction! I didn’t see the previous reaction because I prefer this version. The subtitles help to understand the story so maybe for you was good to read that too for to completely “hear” the song. I think you should put some light in front of your face because it’s too dark, we don’t see you well. Just an observation.
Lo que creo que pasa con esta actuación es que aquí están los sentimientos más a flor de piel que nunca, la canción siempre estremece pero aquí llega a otro nivel, tanto que te olvidas, de los fallos técnicos. Gente con buena técnica vocal o instrumental, hay bastantes. Gente que te transmita cuando canta... Pues no tantos la verdad.
I don't understand the fans' obsession with the Sanremo version of Coraline. Performance ruined by audio engineers. For example, in the chorus you can't hear Victoria's bass for many seconds. The beautiful drums are dominated by the orchestra. And they contributed with the drama of Damiano's tears and the pathetic standing with a petrified look at the end. There are many videos of Coraline live, much better, just think of one of the first performances, in Ronquieres, with Damiano rotating around during the solo. A fresh, pleasant, true performance. And many others.
