I revisit this video every few months and each time I listen it sends the same signals to my brain that I can't ever find the words for. This is the reason why it has taken me till now to comment. Rarely does anything provoke such palpable emotion from me. Such beauty and truth. What a hero Mícheál is- supremely talented and inspiringly open-minded. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam. < 3

I love his music and arrangement's and have done for many years now, but he was no Ashkenazy, and he would be the first to say this.

_A beautiful air which was used for Kavanagh's poem..."Raglan Road"...Remember learning the song in Irish long before Raglan Road was recorded by Luke Kelly_

Ó Súilleabháin 's website notes that he's "widely acknowledged as having originated a unique Irish piano style out of an Irish traditional base." This arrangement demonstrates that beautifully.
