Fantastic job showing off the razor. I had seen an advertisement for this razor a while back but it didn't show off the head of the razor like you did. I really like the looks of that head. It looks like there will never be any blade misalignment much less any adjustment of the blade once the blade is in the head of the razor. Good looking razor for sure.
They market it as a unisex razor, so im sure they put extra care into the design of the head and blade alignment mechanism to make it as user friendly as possible.
Congrats you're at 501 subs. Stopped binge-watching “Ozark” to watch your shave😆. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Your Mühle Companion evaluation caught my eye. I learned wetshaving 2 years ago R41 because I didn't know any better. Some of my buddies say “thats a steep learning curve.” The reason why I have a very coarse beard. Cheers🍻🍻 ~ JB
It's funny how brands are marketing this things like "unisex safety razors" I mean safety razor have always been unisex,, like what makes a unisex razor "unisex"?? It's the long handle? 😂 Anyone can use any razor as they want, it's just a tool for hair removal... Anyways great video man and also gorgeous razor, not ranting at all just a random thought ,, I'm really considering getting myself one of these,, these and the hexagon WOW really gorgeous machines 👍👍👍
I also wonder what makes this particular razor “unisex”. I think it’s just some marketing buzz word to try and move more razors. The Hexagon razor does look fantastic. I have the brush and absolutely love it.
@@TheTravelingShaver yes definitely it's marketing buzz targeting mainly women.. check out this brand called "Hanni" look for the hanni razor.. it's a regular twist to open razor but a bit more rounded and in pastel colors, they are marketing this thing as a novelty to women, the best part is that it uses a propietary blade design, they claim it's "engineered for body shaving" haha such a great idea lol
@@jeremytyler7843 funniest thing about their "different" blade design is that it's just a regular DE blade the only thing they changed was the inner holes for mounting lol so unnecessary.. just thinking someone in the design team thought that was a good idea makes me laugh 😂
A little context on the unisex thing. Muhle really did the hard work in refining the Companion to design it towards women and their needs whilst still working as a face razor. The longer handle is essential for leg shaving, as the women in my home informed me in no uncertain terms. The blade tabs being completely enclosed (a very big deal) and the low profile head minimizes any cuts and nicks when shaving underarm areas. My wife and daughter have been stealing my sons Companion lately and have been pretty impressed with how similar to a Venus it is and like that they can hang it off a hook while showering. I have a Rocca and an R89 and they have never been interested in borrowing them, as they can't just rip and tear quickly in the shower as they do with a Venus. Muhle are definitely onto something with this one.
