Hi Walkers, in this episode we will walk in the München Hauptbahnhof aka Munich Central Station.
Munich Central Station is the main railway station in the city of Munich, Germany. The first Munich station was built about 800 metres (2,600 ft) to the west in 1839. A station at the current site was opened in 1849 and it has been rebuilt numerous times, including to replace the main station building, which was badly damaged during World War II.

Thank you! Very helpful to see a continuous shot of the whole station without cuts. I was amazed at how huge the lower level is, with all the shops/businesses. I’ve seen some other videos of the station, but they did not show as much. Will be traveling there in September. 😊👍

Goodness i miss that place. When i was visiting Munich, it was one of the only places i could buy food every evening. I was super impressed by how fast the check was. The restroom was super convenient, and we always had a few coins reserved for it.

⁠@@TRAVEL-IN-GERMANYI like Nuremberg central station. I call the Nuremberg central station city centre because there are many small medium shops including McDonald’s and Burger king and Lidl as well.

It is now a very sad train station, they have removed the Munich Soul the last 20 years!

Probably it happens not only in Munich, at the least it happens also in Frankfurt. It lost its grand charm of the old world as you could see in the old photos.
