The M+ building of Hong Kong is Asia’s first world-class museum of contemporary visual culture, elevating the global art landscape with its diverse set of spaces and collection. OSRAM Traxon e:cue is proud to be part of its construction, lighting up the 66 x 110m façade with a connected solution. The smart solution consists of 5,682 units of Traxon customized Hybrid Media Tube RGB paired with e:cue Lighting Control Engine 3 FX, Butler Pro, DMX and e:pix controllers. To align with the pattern of the façade ribbed ceramic tiles, it utilizes both high/low power LEDs to ensure visibility from afar and limit glare to the nearest. The orchestra of lights transforms the M+ building facade into one of the world’s largest, most engaging LED multimedia screens. Displaying works of art related to the museum or a thematic event, it adds radiance to Hong Kong’s skyline and brings the city night-time environment to a new level.
