I love this jacket. I got it for Christmas in this color and it’s my favorite parka ever. Warm, sturdy, stylish. A bombproof and comfortable jacket. And this color is so beautiful. It’s like a brick red Santa jacket. Goes with everything and I always get a ton of compliments on it.
It's a pity that tnf doesn't care about Europe and sells old 10-year-old Mcmurdo models, the best thing is that in the US such a parka costs 400 dollars, where in Europe this old one is sold for 500...euro.
Guys where do you see that?? I checked the US website and the McMurdo Parka looks exactly the same. If there is a difference between US and Europe then I guess it is because in Europe TNF is more like an expensive fashion brand. Thats maybe why they charge 500€ here and just 400 $ in the US which is jst 360 € ... But other than that I checked the website and didnt see any difference.
Is it me or the quality of this jacket decreased over the years? My friend has the 2020 mcmurdo and the outershell is of much better quality than the 2022 version i have just purchased from northface website, he also have an integrated neck gaither. His have 550 fill down and mine 600 but his looks as puffy as mine. I feel like northface has cut some corners here and there for this years model, any plans on bringing back higher quality standards for 2023 model? This jacket also badly needs a draw string at it’s base to prevent cold air from coming inside the jacket. Thanks!
Yes, I agree. I've a Gotham 3 (old model) and the design and quality are far superior than the newest version...TNF are also cutting corners with the zippers, on some jackets are really bad, super cheap.
I have the Parka III with 600 Down, I am planning to go to Southern Patagonia in early February which is the summer over there. Do you think it may be too warm?
