Good performance of a tricky piano piece which can sound like a piano exercise if it is played too intense. Started out too intense, but eventually that relaxed touch which is so important to the playing of an etude happened. Moszkowski is no Chopin but he is so underestimated and so under-played. Best piece: "Etincelles" which Horowitz would encore to bring down the house at the end of his recitals. His "Piano Concerto" is up there with the best. It too is underplayed. Discover it and you will love it.
You are an amazing pianist. It must be a real challenge of peace of mind and real passion to perform so well and collected. But i hate all that taking your time set up bollocks like why don't you just sit down and play right away? are you tought to do that? or do you genuinely collect yourself to perform?
Ezra Nixon you can’t force him to play immediately. A pianist has to get himself/herself comfortable and haves to try to remember his piece. If he plays immediately, it might not sound so well because he’s not relaxed.
See no one complaining about tennis players taking their time preparing to serve and they are doing it for every point they serve for .... Piano playing is more mental than physical and if u dont prep your mental readiness & condition properly but instead rushing into it it may ruin your performance
🙄🙄🙄 If he is performing in a recital where there are several other pianist in the line up he would not have had time or access to the bench to be able to adjust beforehand. A
