Still loving my M Musi classic. It's been a couple of weeks now, and i can safely say your recommendation was spot on. Thanks again to you and Mike for great and timely videos on these guitars. Price has already gone up with the latest restock - probably will again when more people catch on.
@@j-man9457 was wondering if you missed my question I sent you on the MMusi Fusion regarding input jack connection when using a right angle plug? Can’t seem to get a good connection with the type plug.
@@edatkinson322 hey Ed, I did not see that question, sorry. Some comments I dont get for som reason... Depending on the style of right angle Jack plug, it may not work. The Musis have an electrosocket style Jack. As you know these are recessed into the body. Plus they have a pure tone style input jack so you should hear the cable click twice when inserting it. If not, you will not have a good connection. If so, you might have a cold solder joint on your input jack. In that case just remove the two screws pull out the electrosocket housing, re-solder the two wires and you should be good to go.
They are most likely used to American Guitars.....Lots of older guys like us are purest.... Free Guitars are always good!!!!!! Thanks for the shout out...Mega Love... I had just one comment that said I was going over board by saying it was dancing on that pro line, I guess because hip shot tuners are 160$ And the trem systems a pro guitar would have wouldnt be the metal Musi used... That position of the neck adjustment didnt really take off with a lot of guys, but from a set up stand point its better..... The Kid didnt connect with the guitar due to the fact his Quilter doesnt have the EQ control and he didnt vibe with the pickups.... For both of us the pick ups are too much output, we are used to the best vintage pickups, thats not a snob thing, and no slam to Musi at all the pickups in the Musi are great, however we arent modern gear players, we are vintage gear players... I was thinking humbucker sized P-90's or a P90 in the bridge and a duncan bucker in the neck. I personally Bought that guitar thinking I was getting it for 300 US, it was 385 shipped. I was curious about all the features due to the fact ive never had Stainless frets and roasted maple and that neck adjustment system....Last but not least, when I buy something it never goes back unless its a major manufacturing flaw.... I totally get your excitement level about that guitar and its totally gigable!!!!! It's just you cant please people these days they are entitled!!
Totally see where you're coming from and I understand all those points all too well. Personally though, I have come to realize that whether I play a chinese guitar, a korean guitar, a Indonesian guitar, a mexican guitar or an american guitar, my playing has never improved from one guitar to another lol! Only practice, time on task, and a good set up has helped. The name on the head stock has never helped me become a better player... ever! Pickups are like clothes however. Some of us like suit and ties, others t-shirts and Jeans... so yes a different pickup can help dial in the tone you like to hear, but a pick up swap will not make you go from beginner to pro. If It did, I'd be swapping pickups in every guitar I own lol🤣🤣🤣
I guess professional grade can mean different things to different people so it really doesn't matter but I saw a guy that played over 300 shows with a Harley Benton strat that he paid $40 for and all he did was change the tuners.
Jay-Bro.... man what a cool vid! The guitar is sweeeet!! Man loving what these guys are doing. I gotta get one. I've got a silver sparkle Leo Jaymz.. and it's pretty darn killer too. I'm wondering if they come out of the same factory. The headstock is same shape. Just not the two-tone paint job on it. Anyway - man that guitar is sikk! Love it. And that jamm was awesome Bro. I had to grab my axe, and play along with you. I can't hang with you - but I still had a blast jamming over top of it. Killer little jamm!
“J” you R the Man!! You probably should drop a line to M Musi, and tell them to send me one,,😆 or 2, or.. anyway, Love your playing and videos. BTW, that is a darn good sounding Axe! I got to play in my Church today. Haven’t done that in a Looong time. The Wife knocked’ em dead with her Amazing voice and playing! God Bless!!💥🙏👍
Hey that's awesome man! I was playing in church today as well. Did you use that awesome cross pickguard tele you built? It's great that both you and your wife are musical... love that! I'm afraid I don't have that much push with Musi haha. I had to buy one first ($520 cad) and was just lucky I had issues with it and they are a new company and offered to send me one of their returns at no cost😀... God's timing! Blessings buddy!
Great video and playing! I agree about the M Musi guitars because I bought the exact same guitar for $329 on Amazon and when I first saw it was only $299 and now they're $359. Mine had a buzz when I got it and I had to make a trust rod adjustment which fixed it and that's all I had to do. It's unbelievably good for the price and is comparable to guitars 4 or 5 times the price. The best guitar I've ever seen or played for the price. I might have to get the strat style, not that I need another guitar because I have plenty but at that price, why not? There's a beautiful one that's baby blue with roasted maple fretboard and a humbucker at the bridge that has coil splits. Lol
Great demo and extra info on what did NOT need doing! If only they made lefties....le sigh. All I can offer for my best guitar out of the box is my HB35plus- a 335 type- from Thomann that needed a fretboard oiling and fret polishing. Add 9 gauge strings and it's been amazing. Others who bought them did more work, but they are really good value if you want a semi-hollow.
Yeah lefties are harder to get for sure... to bad though, there are a lot of you out there. It's great to get a guitar that needs nothing once in a while!😊
6:30 - I believe the 2bm resistor mod is actually how PRS typically wires their circuits. If you’re finding the coil split thin-sounding, this mod should theoretically fatten the split sound as well as make it louder. 7:30 Not quite correct-yes, each humbucker pickup will be half the output, since the 2 coils of each pickup are wired in series, but the pickups as a whole are wired in parallel, so in split mode, it’s still technically HALF the voltage output, not a quarter.
On Prime Days... yesterday (July 11th 2023) & today the Black Sparkle is $399 CAD, & the other 2 colours are $449 CAD . Time to buy, if you're interested ? 😉 Cheers ✌️ 🤙🇨🇦 #jmanguitarpei #musivirgofusionguitar #knowyourtelecaster #knowyourteleguitar
Most 6 on a side head stocks still do not have enough break angle over the nut even with staggered tuners. My classics all needed a string tree, however my fusions, only the green one needed one. It's really dependent on how well the nut is cut😀
@@j-man9457 Hey I got my M Musi Virgo Fusion today. I really like it👍. Going to call it the Green Monster! Playability is great; it’s supposed to be used but I sure can’t tell it. I just needed to lower both pickups down a bit, they were just too hot for my taste. Overall great guitar for under $300; much better than the new Squire Contemporary Jaguar I had bought and then sold; no comparison. Huge fun factor. Running through my Fender Deluxe Reverb Tonemaster, sounds great! Thx for steering me towards the M Musi.
@@j-man9457 do you have a good email or contact point at MMusi? The fusion is great, but there appears to be something weird with the guitar input Jack, my right angle plug guitar cord doesn’t make connection? It like a $200 guitar cord
Yeah Marcel, These have been up and down for a bit, but my guess is that these will eventually go up in price as they get more popular and the demand goes up. Get one now lol!
