I just replayed HL 1 & 2, if you've been thinking about it, they still are both just as incredible as you remember. Go visit an old friend...this ones on the house.
@@anannayahuja5906 man, I just fucking miss when games were this simple, just go in, music blasting, colors bright as shit, bullets flying in the air, and just an amazing state of flow, this game is honestly underrated
@@joshuaarchbold3741 lmao. It's a bit different thing about Russians. There's one Russian streamer with nickname Papich. This dude does weird but funny shit. And on one of his streams he was dancing with Nuts chocolate bar in his hands
I stayed up and beat hotline miami in a night and beat it at 6am, but the sleep deprivation, extreme violence, and fast paced electronic music fucked with my head and I really was hypnotized by it hahahahaha
***** Ya if you think thats bad, after beating hotline miami, I popped an ounce mushrooms to go find varsity jackets and chicken masks so I can go wack my imaginary friends that work at dingy pizza places. Then I smoked cigarettes and road my bicycle into the sunset to cool wave hipster music.
I see this woman's face every day while busing to work. Helps me get through the harsh reality of not being a coke baron in the eighties who drives a Testarossa and runs half of Miami.
+geriger1 There's something about the cover art of this ep and particles. Simple photographs but just somehow fit the mood of the album. Like, moody, dangerous and sexual at the same time. A bit like being a mass murdering masked vigilante or a Miami coke baron I suppose! This cover also reminds me of the eye slice in Un Chien Andalou. If I spelt that right.
fun fact of the day: this song only uses 3 notes. *C* _(only note bass guitar plays, most of the notes the high pitch synth plays)_ *D#/Eb* _(the high note on the synth)_ *F#/Gb* _(the note the kick & tom are tuned to)_ still sounds good anyway
Actually, if you ignore the rather unimportant tune of the kick and toms, you end up with only two notes; a high/light one (Eb) and one low/heavy one (C), just like a hydrogen atom; one heavy (proton) and one light (electron) particle.
Слушаю этот трек уже на протяжении года, и это чистейшая магия. Этот трек подходит под любую деятельность. Я готов есть под него, играть во что-то, спать, да что угодно. Просто потрясающе.
Glad to see the community, being alive for over a decade by now. This game, and every single in it's age, were simplicity's masterpieces. No paid shit,no DLCs,first day bonuses. I was born in 2003 and i feel like a boomer compared to some gamers. I enjoy simplicity, all spreaded as different ways of ideals, within a game. No need for flashy stuff.
i like how hotline miami is really popular with russians even though the game is about violently maiming russians edit: 10k likes... 260 comments... yep this is doing numbers 🚬
Hello? This is Hank from management. There are few guys in the house nearby having a loud party with some blip-blob music that is playing at max volume. Our client does not want to be bothered by this anymore. Can you talk to them and convince them to keep it down?
The success of Hotline Miami is mainly due to the soundtrack, it's awesome on its own, but the true reason is that every track fits PERFECTLY to the game scenes they are used for, so you enter a kind of zen while playing.
2 never really did it for me because of this reason. The tracks are all over the place. Early pink floyd one minute, blue man group smacking pvcs around the next. This shit, however, is where it's at.
Ignoring the fact that he's a killing machine, Jacket is pretty relatable. Having a messy or unorganized home, relying on instant gratification (like junk food, watching movies, smoking cigarettes, and visiting bars) to cope with stress and relax, being mentally at the brink of collapse, being a procrastinator, using videogames to occupy himself between relationships, finding it difficult to let things go/having a horrible time dealing with grief, and letting his emotions control him/rage get the best of him, etc. He may never utter a single word, but the music choices express his feelings for him. Nearly every single track has an anxiety and unease to it, much like how the man himself is severely mentally disturbed and unwell. Even the most "relaxed" tracks like the main menu theme have a surrealistic haze and discomforting aura, mirroring the incredibly distorted line between reality and dream he finds himself in.
If i remember correctly, M.O.O.N. was 16 when he made this, SIXTEEN. I wonder if he had any idea this song and the little indie game it was used in would ever become as huge as they did.
this song works too well, it makes you feel hypnotised, angry, nauseous and high at the same time, just like a certain chicken-mask-wearing, russian-mafia-mutilating fella.
Hotline Miami - for me the most important Indie game ever - so simple tools so thick, exhausting (morally) experience. Most violent game also, it was all made in simple visuals but effective as hell.
JonathanFernandez then what is it a reference to? (I thought it was a Rick and Morty reference, from that episode with the simulations when Jeff is in the car going to "work")
+The Marauder I didn't say I no longer like the games, I fucking love the games, that's why I did them 100%, all I said was that this soundtrack brings up memories of stressfully trying to 100% the game
He did it because he likes hurting people. Didn't you listen to the nice owl in the fancy suit? At that point of sociopathy and violent delusion, any ideology or agenda is merely window dressing i think.
