Thank you so much for the video! I'm picking up my M&P15-22 Pistol tomorrow and first thing before adding my optics to it will be upgrading the handguard. Looks like MI doesn't make a slim-line handguard that's short enough (6.5") but they have combat rail that's 6". Thoughts? Or something else you might recommend?
I just got the converter nut from Tacticool22, how did you tighten it down? I don't want to chew it up with pliers and don't have a strap wrench that small. Thanks,
I have the pistol one and it’s impossible to get a tool down there because the first circle you pop out won’t pop out because the flash hider is in the way
Hi to instal the habdguard you have to remove the indexing tabs plus other part of the upper? I want to do the same but i think its better modifie the handguard to fit in the upper? What do you think?
Yes, there is a tab at the bottom and a shorter tab up top of the receiver, both need to be removed if you buy the 3/32 convertor nut. It's hard polymer, so it's not too difficult. I actually cut them off and sanded it flush. Good luck!
@@VaMike9 would you happen to know if removing those polymer tabs make it impossible to reinstall the factory Handguard should I ever decide to go back to the factory one? Thanks for the help and great video.
@@VaMike9 oh yeah sorry, hand guard for the second question... bit i actually really like that stock with the cheek riser too and dont know what brand that is.
VaMike 9 cool. I’m from Virginia but lived in Florida for 30 years. Retiring in a year or two and coming back. Used to hunt and fish in Amherst county growing up. Anyway, just thought I’d ask. Sorry about your governor. Hahahah.
