Currently learning this song and I'm just stunned at how great this is. This is one of the prettiest fingerstyle arrangements and STILL slaps 9 years later. Amazing work.
How could anyone dislike this?! I don’t understand. Such an amazing sounding guitar but so understated, visually. Martin is no-doubt a player who cares more about the music then showing off or being the best. I can respect that

Looks like Magnolia is my new favorite and somehow I'm going to have to learn how to play this song on my guitar even if it's the last thing I do on earth. I have a 600 sf pavilion in my garden with magnificent views of the countryside and wilderness. Last night I listened to Magnolia and felt very connected to nature all around me. This song is so beautiful and it inspires me to want to do better with my own guitar playing.

The melody, the shading of the notes (nuance), the crisp sound of the guitar makes for a bold & beautiful melody! If there was no accompanying video I would swear it was CHET (Atkins)...so reminiscent of his style! Besides the fact that it has a country flavour...somewhat?

absolutely adore this arrangement. Particularly in the middle when the lap steel comes in. With the lap steel you can really hear how complex the guitar arrangement is. Bravo.

Beautiful! This is the best kind of fingerstyle to listen to - nice and slow and relaxing, but played with incredible finesse and skill. And the little change at 2:10 is just fantastic. Had to go back and listen to that one a couple times, great move :)
